Product Information

The Outdoor Light Sensing Timer is a device designed to automatically control outdoor lights based on the surrounding light conditions. It is equipped with a light sensor that detects ambient light levels and adjusts the operation of connected lights accordingly.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before operating the Outdoor Light Sensing Timer, carefully read and understand all the instructions provided in the instruction manual.
  2. Ensure that the device is properly installed and securely connected to the power source.
  3. Place the light sensor in a location where it can accurately detect ambient light levels. Avoid obstructing the sensor with objects or placing it in areas with excessive shade.
  4. Set the desired operating mode using the control buttons or dials provided on the timer. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed information on different modes and settings.
  5. Once the timer is set, it will automatically control the connected outdoor lights based on the detected light levels. The lights will turn on when it gets dark and turn off when it becomes sufficiently bright.
  6. If desired, you can manually override the timer settings and control the lights independently.
  7. Regularly check and maintain the Outdoor Light Sensing Timer to ensure proper functioning. Clean the sensor periodically and inspect all connections for any signs of damage or wear.

Warning : To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, please strictly follow the instructions.

  1. The timer must be mounted in a vertical position with the receptacles facing downward and at least 2ft above the ground level when in outdoor use.
  2. Do not connect any devices which may exceed the maximum ratings of this timer.
  3. Do not immerse in water.
  4. Children are not allowed to use the timer without supervision.
  5. Do not disassemble or repair the product, but only by authorized service personnel.
  6. Please always unplug and store indoors when not in use.

Button Layout

  1. Timer dial:
    2 to 8 hours or dusk to dawn and daily repeat function.

  2. Power :
    Power indicator light indicates if the timer is turned on or off.

  3. Sensor: Sensor will turn timer on at dusk and off at dawn.
    Outlets:
    Plug the lights or devices to be controlled by the timer into outlet.

Operating Instructions

  • OFF : Power is OFF to attached devices
  • ON : Power is ON to attached devices
  • DuskDawn : Power will turn on at dusk and remain on until dawn
  • 2 Hrs : Power will tum on at dusk and remain on for 2 hours
  • 4 Hrs : Power will tum on at dusk and remain on for 4 hours
  • 6 Hrs : Power will tum on at dusk and remain on for 6 hours
  • 8 Hrs : Power will tum on at dusk and remain on for 8 hours

The cycle repeats every 24 hours

Notes

  1. The timer is daily repeat after setting, in case of power failure, it will stop operating. Once power is restored, reset the desired operating mode as the operating instructions.
  2. Once programming activates at dusk in the 2H, 4H, 6H, or SH Mode, the program cycle will repeat until the timer is reset. Headlights, porch lights, street lamps and other external lighting sources will not interfere with the active timer program.
  3. n the Dusk- Dawn Mode, temporary light sources like headlights, porch lights and other external light sources will not interfere with the photocell function unless the external light source is on for more than 15 minutes. In that case, the timer will shut off until darkness is restored.
  4. When set to “ON”, the timer will provide continual power to attached devices until the timer is switched to “OFF”, or to any of other operating modes.
