Safety Instructions
- Only skilled personnel are allowed to work on the refrigerant compressors.
- The local safety and accident prevention regulations, as well as the requisite technical rules, must be observed.
Points to be observed before working on the compressor or unit:
- Switch off the machine and safeguard it from being inadvertently switched on again.
- Disconnect the power supply line and motor cable.
- Relieve the machine from the system pressure
After installation has been completed:
- Connect the safety switch and mount the protective devices.
- Evacuate the compressor (plant).
- Open the shut-off valves (suction, pressure and liquid valve).
- Reconnect the power supply line andmotor cable.
- Lift the switch-on safeguard

General
These installation instructions describe the main procedure for replacing the compressor oil pump:
- Pos. 3.1 HA / HG 4 HA / HG 5 O4, O5
- Pos. 3.2 FK 26 FK 24

Installation instructions
- Stop operation of the compressor as per 1.), safety instructions.
- After removing the oil pump, remove any seal remnants adhering to the compressor housing.
HA/HG 4, HA/HG 5, O4, O5
Compressor types HA/HG 4, HA/HG 5, O4 and O5 are fitted with plain bearings.
The heavy duty clamping sleeve (see fig. 4, scope of delivery) is not
required. Install oil pump unchanged (fig. 1).
Compressor types FK 26 and FK 24
The compressor types FK26 and FK 24 are equipped with roller bearings. The roller bearing on the pump side must be sealed towards the oil pump (Fig. 2) using the follwing components:
- support ring
- bearing seal

Caution! Not to be forgotten during installation Clamping sleeve (4) is
necessary as locking element for the support ring and bearing seal. Therefore
knock the included clamping sleeve (4) into the bore dia. 4mm of the oil pump
(1), as far as it will go. Clamping sleeve (4) may only protrude max. 2mm from
oil pump

General installation instruction:
- Always install oil pump (1) with the indication “TOP” at the top.
- The seal for oil pump (2) may not cover the oil suction channel in the compressor housing – ensure free passage.
- Tighten the fastening screws (3) evenly and cross-wise. Screwing torque 34 Nm.
Starting operations
- Stop up operations of the compressor again as per section 1.), safety instructions.
- Check proper functioning of oil pump: check oil pressure at pressure gauge with service connection (fig. 5), oil pressure approx. 2,5 bar.
