Danfoss 088L1914 Link RS Room Sensor

Introduction

The Danfoss Link™ RS (Room Sensor) has a built-in tem-perature sensor, which measures the ambient temperature. It allows you to control the heating, based on room tem-perature in the room where installed. With the Danfoss Link™ RS you can also adjust the temperature.Danfoss-088L1914-Link-RS-Room-Sensor-

The RS Room Sensor is battery powered – 2 x AA – and can thus be placed everywhere it fits the interior design.

Installation

The Danfoss Link™ wireless system’s transmission range is sufficient for most applications; however each building has different obstacles affecting communication and maximum transmission distance.
If communication problems occur Danfoss suggests that accessories would be required to support the system, such as repeaters. In exceptional cases the wireless system may not be suitable for your installation.
Please be aware of the following, when installing Danfoss Link™ RS:

  • Do not install Danfoss Link™ RS, where it will be subject to direct sunlight.
  • The installation height should typically be between 80-150 cm.
  • In wet rooms it shall be installed according to local building regulations.
  • At least 50 cm away from windows/doors that will be left open occasionally.
  1. Turn the device around so the back is facing you.
  2. Remove the back panel by gently pressing your thumbs on the panel and pull downwards.
  3. Fix the back panel to the wall either help of screws or adhesive on the desired destination.
  4. Insert the batteries.
  5. Install the Danfoss Link™ RS front by gently letting it slide on the back panel again.

Adding device

Connection of the RS Room Sensor to a system is made from the Danfoss Link™ CC Central Controller. For further information, see the Danfoss Link™ CC instruction manual: Configuration 6: Adding devices.

Perform network test

When the RS unit has been added to the Danfoss Link™ CC Central Controller, a network test should be performed. For more information on network tests, see the Danfoss Link™ CC instruction manual: Configuration 8: Perform network test.
At the end of the network test you will be informed that the test is waiting for signal from the RS unit. Go to the RS unit and press the LED button for 5 seconds to force the signal.

Factory reset

  1. Remove the Danfoss Link™ RS front from the back panel.
  2. Turn the Danfoss Link™ RS around so the back is facing you.
  3. Remove one of the batteries.
  4. Press and hold the button while reinserting the battery until LED flashes red (approx. 5 seconds).
  5. Replace the Danfoss Link™ RS front again on the back panel.
  6. The Danfoss Link™ RS is now reset.
