Warning: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this manual, do not include all conditions and situations possible. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot be integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating this appliance. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, voltage fluctuation or the modification or adjustment of any part of the appliance.
To protect against a risk of fire or electric shock, basic precautions shall be taken while using electrical appliances, including the following:

  1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed in accordance with applicable electrical codes according to EN.

  2.  Do not operate the toaster with a damaged cord. All repairs, including cord replacements, must be carried out at a professional service centre! Do not remove protective covers of the appliance, risk of electric shock!

  3. Protect the appliance against direct contact with water and other liquids, to prevent potential electric shock.

  4.  Do not leave the toaster unattended when in use. Do not touch metal parts or hot surfaces when it is in operation. Touch only the On lever and buttons.

  5. Leaving the toaster cord connected to outlet unattended is not recommended. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to any maintenance. Do not remove the power cord from the outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the power cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.

  6.  Do not use the toaster outdoors or in wet environments. Do not  touch the power cord or the toaster with wet hands. Risk of electricshock.

  7. Close supervision is necessary for operating the toaster near children!

  8. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces or run the cord over sharp edges.

  9. Bread products inside the toaster can catch fire. Do not use the appliance near or under inflammable objects (for example around curtains). The temperature of surfaces near the operating appliance can be hotter than usual. Place the toaster out of reach
of other objects to ensure sufficient air circulation needed for its proper operation. Do not cover the toasting slots.

  10. Do not insert in the toaster bread slices, which are too large. Should  the bread become stuck in the toaster, unplug the cord from theoutlet and wait until the toaster cools down. After the toaster is cooled, remove the slice of bread.

  11.  Do not insert in the toaster slices of bread, which are too large or slices cut irregularly, which may become stuck in the mechanism of the toaster. If the bread in the toaster gets stuck, do not use metal kitchen utensils to remove it, since they may cause a short circuit (spoon, knife…).

  12. Be careful not to scratch or otherwise damage the metal covers with solid objects, or not to hit the appliance on a sharp edge.

  13.  Keep the toaster away from hot surfaces and sources of heat (for example, hot plates).

  14. Placing slices of bread directly on the toaster cover or slot can lead to damaging the toaster! Do not toast bread that can melt (with topping) or leak into the toaster and do not toast small pieces of bread or heels as this can cause damage or fire.

  15. It is not possible to use the toaster if it is tilted or turned on its side.

  16.  Do not insert fingers or metal objects in the toaster slots.

  17. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older and people with lower physical or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed to use the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user should not be done by children unless they are older than 8 years and under supervision. Children under 8 years old must keep away from the appliance and its power supply. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  18. Use the appliance only in accordance with the instructions given in this manual. This toaster is intended for domestic use only. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by the improper use of this appliance.

  19. Do not connect the appliance to electrical outlets with remote switch or remotely controlled timer.

  20. Never toast bread by placing it horizontally directly on the  openings. This would disrupt air circulation and could lead to a fire.

  21. Make sure the grid racks are completely dry before placing them on the toaster.

Do not immerse in water!
The surfaces marked in this way become hot during use.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Toasting bread

  1. When plugged in, turn the browning setting (5) to level 4.

  2. Using the settings button (5) you can choose up to 7 various browning settings: 1= lightly toasted to 7=darkly toasted.

  3. Insert a slice of bread and press the toasting lever (1) all the way down so the slice of bread is inserted into the toaster. The toasting lever will return to its initial position. The slice of bread inserted into the toaster is automatically centred.

  4. To adjust the browning setting during toasting, move the browning setting slide (5) to another setting. The toaster automatically switches off after the time set has lapsed. The slices of bread pop up from the toaster.

  5. For toasting frozen bread taken directly from the freezer, insert the bread into the toasting slot and select the desired browning setting. Press the toasting lever down and then press the defrost button (4). The Defrost indicator light will come on.

  6. For reheating bread that was already toasted once before, insert the bread into the toasting slot and select the desired browning setting. Push down the toaster lever and then press the Warming button (3).
The Reheat indicator light will go on.

  7. Press the Cancel button (2) if the bread is too dark or if the toasting process fails.

Warming rack:
Place the warming rack (6) on the toaster as shown in the picture and place the bread (roll, bun …) you want to warm up on it. Set the low heat intensity to the range (range 1-3) and press the toasting lever (1) down until it is anchored in the lower position. The bread will start warming up automatically.
Wait for the warming process to stop automatically or press the Cancel button to end the warming process.
Take extra care not to touch the heated parts of the rack when removing the pastry from rack (8).
What you need to know about slices of bread?
Type of bread, its moistness, content, age, thickness and number of heels. All of this affects the browning setting. If you intend to toast two slices of bread next to each other, they should be of the same type, same degree of moistness and of the same age (bread shall be kept in an enclosed package). Always keep sliced bread, intended for toasting purposes, in a dry area.
The overall thickness of bread slices should not exceed 2.5 cm.
Any type of bread, small loafs and baked goods without toppings can be used in the toaster, including frozen baked goods. In general, darker types of bread should be toasted at a higher browning setting than lighter types. To obtain an especially light loaf of bread, spray it lightly with water prior to toasting. Slices should be turned one or twice during the crisping process.
Very thin slices will not be centred automatically and should be toasted at a lower browning setting to prevent one side of the bread from becoming burnt.

CLEANING

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning. Slide the crumb tray out of the appliance and empty it. Clean the crumb tray regularly, use a scratch brush to remove burnt crumbs. Clean the outer surface of the toaster with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the toaster. Do not immerse the toaster into water or use a dish washer to clean the appliance.
