INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Integral Downlight Evolight
Important Details – Please read prior to installation
Always ensure the AC/Mains power is not connected and cannot be unexpectedly
reconnected during installation.
- Installation must be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all recognised local and national electrical and construction regulations.
- The LIGHT MODULE operates with a 220240V AC 50Hz electricity supply. For indoor use. Do NOT use the LIGHT MODULE if damaged.
- To be fitted in a CANLESS downlight. Not suitable for a CANNED downlight.
- LIGHT MODULE is dimmable with suitable LED dimmer.
- Failure to comply with the recommendations and instructions provided herein may cause damage to the LIGHT MODULE or present a risk of injury or death (e.g. short-circuit, fire, burns or electric shock). Any modifications to the LIGHT MODULE, incorrect installation or unfit positioning may be dangerous to users and may cause the warranty to become void.
Installation Instructions
- Ensure that the power is OFF during installation and that power cannot be unexpectedly reconnected.
- Place the LIGHT MODULE in a suitable CANLESS downlight fitting; instead of a MR16 lamp (replaces the transformer and lamp holder) or GU10 lamp (replaces the lamp holder). Safely remove any replaced items. See Fig 1.
- Incoming cable connections are: L = LIVE (Brown) N = NEUTRAL (Blue) The LIGHT MODULE is CLASS II (an EARTH connection is not required).
- Use a suitable connector (if not included).
- If a junction box is included (with optional LOOP-IN/LOOP-OUT connectors and a functional EARTH connection if required). Refer to wiring diagram.
- Do NOT cover the LIGHT MODULE with insulation. Where required an insulation guard should be used.
- Check connections and switch power ON when safe to do so.
WASTE ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS SHOULD NOT BE DISPOSED OF WITH HOUSEHOLD WASTE. PLEASE RECYCLE WHERE FACILITIES EXIST. CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITY FOR RECYCLING ADVICE.
