Can multiple functions be use simultaneously?
Most of VIGO shower panels are single function to use only one function at a time. VIGO does have 2 shower panel models that are multi-functional VG08005 and VG08008. -
Are VIGO shower panels certified?
Yes, all VIGO shower panels are cUPC certified by IAPMO R&T and meet all plumbing code requirements for the US and Canada. -
Are VIGO shower panels equipped with check valves?
Yes, our shower panels would have check valves located in the rear of the panel at the bottom of the valve housing where the supply hoses are connected. This is to prevent water from leaving the panel and going back into your water supply. -
What size supply hoses are used for VIGO shower panels?
½” connection supply hoses are included for proper installation of the VIGO shower panel. -
What is meant by “Retro Fit” shower panel?
VIGO offers 2 models of retrofit shower panels VG08014 and VG08016. These are specifically designed for those wanting to upgrade their shower without tearing out walls to redo any plumbing. Retro-fit panels are used to replace the shower head of an existing shower. The panel would give you options such as head shower, body jets or hand shower. There is only one handle on the shower panel used to choose option of use. When using this type of shower panel, you would still use the same controls from your pre existing shower for on/off and temperature control. -
What is the flow rate of VIGO shower panels?
VIGO shower panels will have a flow rate of 1.8gpm. Our shower panels are CEC certified to meet special flow rate requirements for California. -
Do VIGO shower panels come with rough-in valve?
Yes, all VIGO shower panels are equipped with the valve housing attached to the rear of the panel. -
Are VIGO shower panels pressure balanced?
No, all VIGO shower panels are thermostatically balanced. The shower panels will have a separate temperature control handle (except for retrofit panels). The water temperature will stay the same wherever you set your temperature control handle. -
Are VIGO shower panels equipped with an anti-scald system?
Yes, all VIGO shower panels are equipped with an anti-scald ring located behind the temperature control handle. While turning the handle from cold to hot, the handle will stop at the 100-degree mark on the panel. There is a button on the handle that would need to be pressed to bypass the anti-scald guard for increasing water temperature. By turning the handle clockwise beyond the 100-degree mark, the button will pop out, thus reactivating anti-scald guard. -
How high do you set the head shower for the VIGO shower panel?
This would depend on the height of the person(s) using the shower. We would recommend setting the height of the head shower at least 6″ above the height of the tallest person using the shower. -
