Product Usage Instructions

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Remove the mounting plate (B) from the canopy (J) by removing screws (C).
  3. Remove the metal plate (H) from the mounting plate (B) by removing collar rings (O).
  4. Using the mounting plate (B) as a guide, line it up with the junction box and mark the anchor positions.
  5. Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into the holes using a hammer.
  6. Install the mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure it with mounting screws (G). Then, secure wood screws (F) to the anchors (A).
  7. Feed the fixture wires through the canopy (J), collar rings (O), and metal plate (H). Slide the packaging up the cord for light head inspection, then slide it back down and leave it in place until installation is complete. Refer to diagram 1.
  8. Insert the fixture wires through the center hole of the mounting bracket and secure them with set screws (D) using the provided wrench (K). Refer to diagram 2. Note: Set the fixture to the desired height before moving to the next step.
  9. Cut excess wires, ensuring enough length to reach the junction box. Separate the wires and strip insulation on each end.
  10. Wrap the supply ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw and tighten it. Continue with the fixture ground wire and connect it to the supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using a wire nut (A). Note: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.
  11. Connect the fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using a wire nut (A).
  12. Connect the fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using a wire nut (A). Caution: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
  13. Install the metal plate (H) to the mounting plate (B) and secure it with collar rings (O).
  14. Install the canopy (J) to the mounting plate (B) and secure it with screws (C).
  15. Install light bulbs into the sockets.
  16. Install glass shades (N) to the fixture body (L) and secure them with thumbscrews (M). Note: Thread thumbscrews (M) evenly to ensure proper glass security. Do not over tighten.

NOTICE: This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

TOOLS REQUIRED (NOT INCLUDED)

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Slotted Screwdriver
  • Wire Strippers
  • Hammer
  • Drill
  • Wire Cutters
  • Pencil

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Remove mounting plate (B) from the canopy (J) by removing screws (C).
  3. Remove metal plate (H) from mounting plate (B) by removing collar rings (0).
  4. Using mounting plate (B) as a guide, line up with the junction box and mark anchor positions.
  5. Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into holes using a hammer.
  6. Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (G), then secure wood screws (F) to anchors (A).
  7. Feed fixture wires through the canopy (J), collar rings (O), and metal plate (H).
    • NOTE: Slide packaging up cord for light head inspection, then slide back down and leave in place until installation is complete. See diagram 1.
  8. Insert fixture wires through the center hole of the mounting bracket and secure with set screws (D) using a provided wrench (K). See diagram 2.
    • NOTE: Set fixture to desired height before moving to next step.
  9. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave enough to reach the junction box. Separate wires, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.
  10. Wrap supply ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw. Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A).
    • NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.
  11. Connect the fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).
  12. Connect the fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
    • CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
  13. Install metal plate (H) to mounting plate (B) and secure with collar rings (0).
  14. Install canopy (J) to mounting plate (B) and secure with screws (C).
  15. Install light bulbs into the sockets.
  16. Install glass shades (N) to fixture body (L) and secure with thumbscrews (M).
    • NOTE: Thread thumbscrews (M) in evenly to ensure the glass is properly secured. Do not over tighten. Care Instructions: Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do Not use abrasive or chemical agents.

CORD MOUNT OPTION (SOLD SEPARATELY)

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box Place on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Remove canopy (F) from mounting plate (B) by unscrewing, then remove threaded cap (E) and wire mounts (G & D) from the mounting plate.
  3. Using the mounting plate (B) as a guide, line up with the ceiling and mark anchor positions.
  4. Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the marked positions. Install anchors (A) into the holes using a hammer.
  5. Install mounting plate (B) to ceiling and secure with wood screws (C)to anchors (A). Thread canopy (F) to mounting plate (B). Place fixture wire into the slot of the bottom wire mount (D).
  6. Adjust fixture wire to the desired height, then install wire mounts (G & D) to mounting plate (B) and secure with threaded cap (E).
    • Care Instructions: Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do Not use abrasive or chemical agents.
