Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the mattress used in the crib is at least 27 1/4 by 51 5/8 in. (69 cm by 131 cm) with a thickness not exceeding 6 inches (15 cm).
- When placing the mattress in the crib, ensure that there is no gap of more than 1 inch (3 cm) between the mattress and any side of the crib.
- Before assembly, carefully unpack and identify all the hardware and components included in the box.
- Place the contents on a carpeted or padded area during assembly to protect them from damage.
- Follow the assembly instructions closely to ensure proper assembly. Improper assembly can result in personal or property damage.
- Adult assembly is required as small parts are present in an unassembled state, which can pose a choking hazard.
- Using an Allen wrench, unfasten 4 small bolts and 4 spring washers from the end panel to release the mattress support panel. Set aside the mattress support panel and hardware for further instructions.
- Using an Allen wrench, unfasten 4 medium bolts from the end panel. Unfasten 2 large bolts and 2 half-moon brackets from the bottom of the end panel to release the side panel. Set aside the components and hardware for further instructions.
- Locate the lowest hole setting on the end panel and attach the mattress support panel to the end panels using 4 small bolts and 4 spring washers. Fully tighten all bolts and store any unused hardware/components for future use.
- Assembly is now complete.
Safety Instruction
WARNING:
- Failure to follow these warnings and assembly instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Read all instructions before assembling crib. Keep instructions for future use.
- Do not use this crib if you cannot exactly follow the instructions that come with it.
WARNING:
- For toddler bed use, the minimum age shall be no less than 15 months, and the maximum weight shall not be greater than 50 lb (22.7 kg).
- Infants can suffocate on soft bedding. Never add a pillow or comforter. Never place additional padding or mattress under an infant.
- To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician.
STRANGULATION HAZARD:
- Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with a string, cord or ribbon around a child’s neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords. DO NOT suspend strings over crib or toddler bed, or attach strings to toys for any reason.
- To help prevent strangulation, tighten all fasteners. A child can trap parts of the body or clothing on loose fasteners.
- DO NOT place crib or toddler bed near window or patio door where cords from blinds or drapes may strangle a child.
FALL HAZARD:
- When child is able to pull to standing position, set mattress to lowest position and remove bumper pads, large toys and other objects that could serve as steps for climbing out.
- When child is able to climb out or reaches the height of 35 inches (89 cm), the crib shall no longer be used and the child should be placed in a youth or regular bed.
CAUTION: ANY MATTRESS USED IN THIS CRIB SHALL BE AT LEAST 27 1⁄4 BY 51 5⁄8 IN. (69 CM BY 131 CM) WITH A THICKNESS NOT EXCEEDING 6 IN. (15 CM), AND WHEN IT IS PUSHED FIRMLY AGAINST ANY SIDE OF THIS CRIB, IT DOES NOT LEAVE A GAP OF MORE THAN 1 IN. (3 CM) BETWEEN THE MATTRESS AND ANY PART OF ANY OTHER SIDE OF THE CRIB.
- Check this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, loose bolts or other fasteners, missing parts, or sharp edges before and after assembly and frequently during use. Securely tighten loose bolts and other fasteners. DO NOT use crib if any parts are missing, damaged or broken. Contact Crate and Barrel for replacement parts and instructional literature if needed. DO NOT substitute parts.
- If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children’s products.
- Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers because they can cause suffocation.
- Infants can suffocate in gaps between crib sides and a mattress that is too small.
- To clean crib: Wipe with clean soft cloth dampened with a mild cleanser and water. Rinse with clean water using a soft cloth, and dry thoroughly.
- Follow warnings on all products in a crib.
- When a vaporizer is in use, always aim vapor steam away from the crib as well as away from other wood furniture.

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
Using an Allen wrench, unfasten 4 small bolts and 4 spring washers from end panel to release mattress support panel as shown. Set mattress support panel and hardware aside until further instruction
With the assistance of another adult, carefully remove mattress support panel from crib assembly. Set mattresss support panel and hardware aside until further instructions.
Using and Allen Wrench, unfasten 4 medium bolts from end panel as shown. Unfasten 2 large bolts and 2 half-moon brackets from bottom of end panel to release side panel as shown. Set components and hardware aside until futher instructions.
With the assistance of another adult, carefully remove side panel from crib assembly as shown. Set side panel aside until further instructions.
Insert 2 wood dowels into corresponding holes of toddler rail as shown.
Using an Allen Wrench, secure toddler rail to end panels with 4 medium bolts as shown. With an Allen wrench, secure bottom of toddler rail to end panels using 2 large bolts and 2 half-moon washers as shown
Locate the lowest hole setting on end panel. Attached mattress support panel
to end panels with 4 small bolts
and 4 spring washers using an Allen Wrench as shown. At this point, fully
tighten all bolts and store any unused hardware/components for future use.
Assembly is now complete.
CLZEANING AND CARE
Clean surfaces with a dry or damp soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Once the crib is in use, periodically check to make sure all bolts are tight, and tighten as necessary. For future use, keep these instructions in the envelope attached to the mattress support.
MAINTENANCE
Upon completion of assembly be sure all screws, bolts and fastening devices have been tightened securely. Periodically repeat this check to make sure all screws, bolts and fastening devices are tight. Before each usage or assembly, inspect crib for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. DO NOT use crib if parts are missing or broken. DO NOT substitute parts. DO NOT make any alteration to this crib.
CLEANING
Mix together a mild solution of gentle dishwashing liquid and water, apply to
crib surface using a soft clean cloth lightly dampened in the solution. Rinse
with clean water again using a soft clean cloth, then dry all surfaces
thoroughly with a soft dry cloth. NO ABRASIVE CLEANERS, SCOURING PADS, STEEL
WOOL OR COARSE RAGS SHOULD BE USED TO CLEAN THIS FINE FURNITURE.
STORAGE
An envelope is attached to the crib for the storage of the assembly directions for future referral. After completing the assembly process you are advised to read and beware of all WARNINGS, CAUTIONS, CLEANING, STORAGE, USE AND MAINTENANCE notices contained in these instructions. We caution you not to place excess hardware in the envelope as it could present danger to a child if retrieved and it could also puncture the crib mattress. For long term storage of the crib, store in a cool, dry place and keep away from moisture and extreme temperature changes. (R02 – 07/2018)
