Product Information

This product is a crib that requires assembly. It is important to follow the assembly instructions closely to ensure proper setup and usage. The crib is designed to accommodate a mattress that should be at least 27 1/4 by 51 5/8 inches (69 cm by 131 cm) with a thickness not exceeding 6 inches (15 cm). It is also important to ensure that when the mattress is placed inside the crib, there is no gap of more than 1 inch (3 cm) between the mattress and any side of the crib.

Product Usage Instructions

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – SMALL PARTS
Before starting the assembly process, please take the time to identify the hardware and individual components included in the box. Place them on a carpeted or padded area to protect them from damage.

Follow these steps for assembly:

  1. Using an Allen wrench, unfasten 2 large bolts, 2 spring washers, and 2 flat washers from the top of the end panels.
  2. Unfasten 2 large bolts, 2 spring washers, and 2 half-moon brackets from the bottom of the end panels to release the side panel.
  3. Set aside the hardware and components until further instructions.
  4. Secure 3 small bolts into the corresponding holes of the end panels.

Once these steps are completed, the assembly is now complete. Ensure that all bolts are tightened securely before using the crib.

Safety Information

WARNING:

  • Failure to follow these warnings and assembly instructions could result in serious injury or death.
  • Read all instructions before assembling crib. Keep instructoi ns for future use.
  • Do not use this crib if you cannot exactly follow the instructions that come with it.
  • For toddler bed use, the minimum age shall be no less than 15 months, and the maximum weight shall not be greater than 50 lb (22.7 kg).
  • Infants can suffocate on soft bedding. Never add a pillow o rcomforter. Never place additional padding or mattress under an infant.
  • To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy ni fants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician.

STRANGULATION HAZARD:

  • Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with a string, cord or ribbon around a child’s neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords. DO NOT suspend strings over crib ort oddler bed, or attach strings to toys for any reason.
  • To help prevent strangulation, tighten all fasteners. A chidl can trap parts of the body or clothing on loose fasteners.
  • DO NOT place crib or toddler bed near window or patio door where cords from blinds or drapes may strangle a child.

FALL HAZARD:

  • When a child is able to pull to a standing position, set the mattress to the lowest position and remove bumper pads, large toys and other objects that could serve as steps for climbing out.
  • When a child is able to climb out or reaches a height of 35 inches (89 cm), the crib shall no longer be used and the child should be placed in a youth or regular bed.

CAUTION:
ANY MATTRESS USED IN THIS CRIB SHALL BE AT LEAST 27 1⁄4 BY 51 5⁄8 IN. (69 CM BY 131 CM) WITH A THICKNESS NOT EXCEEDING 6 IN. (15 CM), AND WHEN IT IS PUSHED FIRMLY AGAINST ANY SIDE OF THIS CRIB, IT DOES NOT LEAVE A GAP OF MORE THAN 1 IN. (3 CM) BETWEEN THE MATTRESS AND ANY PART OF ANY OTHER SIDE OF THE CRIB.

  • Check this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, loose bolts or other fasteners, missing parts, or sharp edges before and after assembly and frequently during use. Securely tighten loose bolts and other fasteners. DO NOT use crib if any parts are missing, damaged or broken. Contact Crate andB arrel for replacement parts and instructional literature if needed. DO NOT substitute parts.
  • If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children’s products.
  • Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as matrtess covers because they can cause suffocation.
  • Infants can suffocate in gaps between crib sides and a mattress that is too small.
  • To clean crib: Wipe with clean soft cloth dampened with a mdil cleanser and water. Rinse with clean water using a soft cloth, and dry thoroughly.
  • Follow warnings on all products in a crib.
  • When a vaporizer is in use, always aim vapor steam away fromt he crib as well as away from other wood furniture.

As you unpack and prepare for assembly, place the contents on a carpeted or padded area to protect them from damage. Please follow the assembly instructions closely. Improper assembly can result in personal or property damage.

Hardware

NOTE:
Hardware will be re-used from the crib assembly unless otherwise mentioned. New hardware will be marked with an asterisk (*).

Installation

Using an Allen wrench, unfasten 2 large bolts, 2 spring washers and 2 flat washers from top of end panels. Unfasten 2 large bolts, 2 spring washers and 2 half-moon brackets from bottom of end panels to release side panel as shown. Set hardware and components aside until further instructions.

With the assistance of another adult, unfasten 4 small bolts from end panels using an Allen wrench to release mattress support panel . Unfasten 4 small bolts from cooresponding holes of end panels with an Allen wrench as shown. Set hardware and components aside until further instructions.

With the assistance of another adult, lower mattress support panel into crib assembly. Locate the lowest hole setting in end panels. Attach mattress support panel to side panels with 4 small bolts using an Allen Wrench as shown. Secure 4 small bolts into corresponding holes of end panels as shown.

Insert 2 wood dowels into corresponding holes of the toddler rail and end panels as shown. Attach the top of the toddler rail to the end panels with an Allen Wrench using 1 large bolt, 1 spring washer and 1 flat washer as shown. Attached bottom of the toddler rail to end panels using an Allen Wrench with 2 large bolts, 2 spring washers, and 2 half-moon brackets as shown.

  • Secure 3 small bolts into corresponding holes of end panels as shown.
  • Assembly is now complete.

CLEANING AND CARE

Clean surfaces with a dry or damp soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Once the crib is in use, periodically check to make suer all bolts are tight, and tighten as necessary. For future use, keep these instructions in the envelope attached to them attress support.

MAINTENANCE

Upon completion of assembly be sure all screws, bolts and fastening devices have been tightened securely. Periodically repeat this check to make sure all screws, bolts and fastening devices are tight. Before each usage or assembly, inspect crib for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. DO NOT use cribif parts are missing or broken. DO NOT substitute parts. DO NOT make any alteration to this crib.

CLEANING

Mix together a mild solution of gentle dishwashing liquid and water, apply to crib surface using a soft clean cloth lightly dampened in the solution. Rinse with clean water again using a soft clean cloth, then dry all surfaces thoroughly with a soft dry cloth. NO ABRASIVE CLEANERS, SCOURING PADS, STEEL WOOL OR COARSE RAGS SHOULD BE USED TO CLEAN THIS FINE FURNITURE.

STORAGE

An envelope is attached to the crib for the storage of the assembly directions for future referral. After completing the assembly process you are advised to read and beware of all WARNINGS, CAUTIONS, CLEANING, STORAGE, USE AND MAINTENANCE notices contained in these instructions. We caution you not to place excess hardware in the envelope as it could present danger to a child if retrieved and it could also puncture the crib mattress. For long term storage of the crib, stoer in a cool, dry place and keep away form moisture and extreme temperature changes. (R02 – 07/2018)
