VIVALDI Giove PS7 Multiroom Domotica Audio

Product Information

The Giove PS7 is a speaker switch/switchboard designed for use in home cinema systems. It is compatible with Vivaldi Free, Freenet, and iFree series zone control systems. The PS7 allows you to manage 7 speakers and a subwoofer.

When the zone control is switched on, the Front and Surround speakers are disconnected from the amplifier and connected to the RC20 control, two per channel, for a total of 4 speakers. During this operation, the Surround Back and Center speakers are disconnected from the system. When the control is switched off, all the speakers are reconnected to the amplifier.

Installation Notes:

1. Use good quality cable with a minimum cross-section of 1 mmq for speaker connections.
2. Avoid passing speaker lines in the same passages as the 230 Vac power lines.
3. If the previous point cannot be respected, use a shielded cable for the speakers.
4. If installing the PS7 card in a DIN panel, set up a special panel for audio equipment to avoid disturbance from nearby power lines.
5. For connecting the subwoofer, use a shielded cable of good quality. The recommended type is a microphone audio cable with total shielding (Micro2).

The PS7 card can be powered by the same zone command line and has a white color. It has dimensions of 106x90x58 (WxHxD) mm and weighs 0.45 Kg.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Connect the speakers using a good-quality cable with a minimum cross-section of 1 mm.
2. Avoid passing the speaker lines in the same passages as the 230 Vac power lines. If unavoidable, use a shielded cable for the speakers.
3. If installing the PS7 card in a DIN panel, set up a special panel for audio equipment to avoid disturbance from nearby power lines.
4. Connect the subwoofer using a shielded cable of good quality, preferably a microphone audio cable with total shielding (Micro2).
5. When using the zone control, follow the diagram in Figure 1. The Front and Surround speakers should be disconnected from the amplifier and connected to the RC20 control, two per channel, for a total of 4 speakers.
6. During the operation of the zone control, the Surround Back and Center speakers will be disconnected from the system.
7. When the zone control is switched off, all speakers should be reconnected to the amplifier.

Note:
The PS7 card can be powered by the same zone command line.

Commands Giove Free, Freenet, iFree

• In Vivaldi systems equipped with Free, Freenet, iFree series zone control, the Giove PS7 switching board allows you to manage 7 speakers and a Subwoofer.
• Using the diagram in Figure 1 when the zone control is switched on, the Front and Surround speakers are disconnected from the amplifier and connected to the RC20 control, two per channel, for a total of 4 speakers.
• During the operation of the zone control, the Surround Back and Center speakers are disconnected from the system. When the control is switched off, all the speakers are reconnected to the amplifier.

Installation Notes

For the installation of the PS7 card it is recommended to follow some precautions that guarantee its correct functioning:

1. For the connection of the speakers use good quality cable, with a minimum cross-section of 1 mmq.
2. It is preferable not to pass the lines of the speakers in the same passages of the 230 Vac lines of the network.
3. If the previous point cannot be respected, it is advisable to use a shielded cable for the speakers.
4. If the PS7 card is installed in a DIN panel, a special panel must be set up for audio equipment, the proximity to power lines can be a source of disturbance.
5. For the connection of the Subwoofer use a shielded cable of good quality, the type recommended by us is microphone audio cable with total shielding.

This cable can be ordered by us with the code Micro2 and being of small diameter (4 mm) allows the laying in pipes even of small diameter.
