MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BONA TRAFFIC HD RAW

Congratulations on your new Bona floor!
To keep your newly renovated floors healthy and beautiful over time, it is important to use the right cleaning and maintenance products. When you choose Bona products you can relax knowing that you have chosen the best possible product to help you care for your floor.

Your wood floor deserves the best!
Wood floors don’t like being cleaned with a traditional mop and bucket. Excessive water and strong detergents risk damaging the floor. The Bona Premium spray mop together with the Bona wood floor cleaner is an all-in-one solution that lets you clean and maintain your wood floor quickly and properly. Just spray and wipe! To strengthen the protection and restore the original low gloss appearance of your floor, it is possible to recoat Bona Traffic HD Raw without the need to sand the floor back to bare wood, we recommend that you have your wood floor craftsman apply an additional layer of lacquer every few years. Observe that polishes/refreshers and similar care products affect the appearance of the floor and should not be used.

Tips and tricks for protecting your floors

  • Remove any spills immediately and protect your wood floor from liquids.
  • Install felt pads on furniture legs, especially chairs.

IMPORTANT!

  • Plasticizers found in materials such as carpet underlays, furniture legs, castors, and adhesives used for fixing can lead to softening and discoloration. Exposure to hair dyes or rubber tires on cars, cycles, and baby strollers can lead to irreversible discoloration of the surface. Use protection or avoid contact completely.
  • Bona Lacquers will resist most common household chemicals including disinfectants. Observe that strong colorants such as wine, coffee, tea, and similar beverages can cause a cosmetic stain on the surface. Always remove spills promptly.
  • Please note that whilst Bona Lacquers are designed to provide a sealed surface that is resistant to wear, scuffing and spillage, etc. no surface-applied finish system can prevent physical damage to the timber or “harden” the floor. Indentations in the wood and scratches may be caused by furniture, dropped items, dog claws, etc. and steps should be taken to reduce the possibility of this occurring.
  • Bona Lacquers are non-yellowing and do not change color under UV light. However, it cannot prevent the wood itself from changing color due to tannin bleed, the movement/migration of natural oils, or the effects of UV light on wood www.bona.com
