WARNINGS

ATTENTION :
Read this booklet carefully it contains important instructions for a safe installation, use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.

The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

  1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.

  2. This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.

  3. This appliance is NOT suitable to be used in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air).

  4. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.

  5. The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.

  6. Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. Ensure that the power cable fits snugly in the hair cutter coupling. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.

  7. Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded.

  8. DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the electrical parameters of the adapters.

  9. The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.

  10. Any accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons.

  11. During use and storage, the appliance must be kept at a safe distance from heat sources (open flame, heaters, stoves, etc.) or any flammable and/or potentially explosive substances.

  12. If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:
    a. Charge the hair cutter before using.
    b. Check and make sure the blade is NOT deformed, damaged or clogged.
    c. Apply oil at the blade.
    d. Attach the position comb to the hair cutter and adjust its position.
    Make sure to remove any label or protective sheet which may prevent its proper
    functioning.
    DO NOT:
    • use the hair cutter while charging;
    • cover the hair cutter during functioning;
    • obstruct totally nor partially the blade;
    • insert objects or body parts inside the protection cover of the hair cutter;
    • use the hair cutter near curtains or textiles;
    • use the hair cutter to trim the hair, fur or feathers, etc. of animals;
    • leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.

  13. Plug and unplug the power cable with dry hands and hold it firmly. Always unplug the power cable to avoid overheating and avoid stretching it (DO NOT pull it, tug it or use it to drag the appliance to which is connected). Before unplugging the appliance, push the switch to “OFF” to turn off the hair cutter.

  14. During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles). DO NOT use the hair cutter while in the shower.

  15. DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock. In case of accidental fall in water, DO NOT try to take it out, but first of all unplug immediately the power cable from the socket.

  16. Avoid placing the power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be damaged easily.

  17. Always remember to unplug the power cable of the appliance if it is NOT used for a long period, before storing, cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.

  18. Avoid carrying out operations which are NOT specified in this manual (such as disassembling and/or altering).

  19. In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch off the appliance immediately, turn off the power and check the cause of the anomaly, if possible, with the support of a qualified person.

  20. DO NOT use or store the appliance outdoors. Store and use the appliance only indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.

  21. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

  22. Save these instructions.

CHARGING THE HAIR CUTTER

  • Ensure that hair cutter is dry and that your hands are dry, the ambient temperature is between 5°C to 35°C, the hair cutter is NOT placed in a wet or humid location such as the bathroom, and away from direct sunlight or near to a heat source before proceeding to charge the device.

  • Push the switch to “OFF” to turn off the hair cutter (fig 1).

  • Plug the power cord into the household mains ( fig 2).

  • Plug the power cable into the power port of the hair cutter (fig 3).

  • During normal charging, the hair cutter indicating light turns on. If the light fails to turn on, please try again.

  • On first charge or when the hair cutter had not been used for over 3 months, leave to charge for 16 hours. Otherwise, leave to charge for 8 hours.

  • At full charge, the hair cutter can be used continuously for about 45 minutes, However, it is recommended that you proceed to charge the hair cutter when it has apparently lost power or after 35 minutes, rather than wait for the battery to be completely discharged. Doing so would help extend the life of the battery.

  • Use a 5V adapter if required.

  • Remove the battery when you discard the product **(fig 16).

HOW TO USE

  • Push the switch to “OFF” to turn off the hair cutter (fig 1).

  • Check and make sure the blade is NOT deformed or damaged or with clogged with foreign particles. If the blade is damaged, DO NOT use it again, or it may cause skin irritation.

  • The blade has fixed life. In order to obtain best results, it is recommended that you replace the blade regularly.

  • Apply oil at the blade before each use (fig 4).

  • Attach the position comb to the hair cutter ( fig 5) and adjust the position comb to your requirements **(fig 6 & 7).

 
Note: Trimming your hair without an attachment will trim hair length to approximately 0.5 mm, You will first have to remove the attachment combs (fig 11)**.

  • Push the switch to “ON” to turn on the hair cutter (fig 8 & 9).

  • Push the switch to “OFF” to turn off the hair cutter after use (fig 10).

HOW TO CLEAN

  • Push the switch to “OFF” to turn off the hair cutter (fig 1).

  • Remove the power cord from the electrical mains.

  • Clean the hair cutter surface with a wet cloth. DO NOT use cleaners or chemical substances. The hair cutter should NOT be cleaned by immersing into water.

  • Wipe the hair cutter surface with dry cloth, DO NOT use a hair dryer or other heat sources

  • Take off the position comb (fig 11).

  • Holding the main body, place your thumb against the blade and then push them away from the main body (fig 12).

  • Brush off any hair trimmings from the hair storeroom (fig 13).

  • Brush off any hair trimmings from the blade (fig 14).

  • Push the blade back in place after cleaning **(fig 15).

Notice :
Service life of the blade: if the hair cutter is used for 20 minutes each week, the blade would last for two years. When the blade becomes dull due to an obvious pulling feel, the blades need to be replaced. DO NOT use it again, or it may cause skin irritation.
