PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

The Toaster TA1420-SA is a high-quality toaster designed for toasting bread slices. It comes with a color controller and a crumb tray for easy usage and maintenance.

FOR THE FIRST USE

During manufacture, residue or oil may remain in the toaster or heating element which is likely to emit an odor when used for the first time. This is normal and should disappear after a few minutes of use. When using the toaster for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Operate the toaster without bread to allow it to cool down.
  2. Insert bread slices into the bread slot. You can insert up to two slices at a time.
  3. Ensure that the crumb tray is completely positioned in place before use.
  4. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
  5. Set the color controller to your desired color. There are seven levels, with level 1 being the lightest and level 7 being the darkest. The recommended position for a golden toast is in the middle.
  6. Press the carriage handle down vertically until it is positioned in place and the indicator light turns on.

CAUTION

  1. Remove all protective wrappings prior to toasting.
  2. If the toaster starts to smoke, press the CANCEL button to stop toasting immediately.
  3. Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.
  4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical power outlet first. Take care not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
  5. The bread slot is only applicable for toasting regular bread slices. Irregularly shaped or round bread cannot be toasted in the bread slot.
  6. In order to achieve a uniform color, it is recommended to wait at least 30 seconds between each toasting cycle so that the color control can reset automatically.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To keep your toaster clean and well-maintained, follow these instructions:

  1. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the main power and let it cool down completely.
  2. Wipe the outside of the toaster with a soft dry cloth. Do not use metal polish.
  3. Pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster and empty it. If the toaster is used frequently, remove accumulated breadcrumbs at least once a week. Ensure that the crumb tray is completely closed before using the toaster again.
  4. When not in use or for storage purposes, you can wind the power cord under the bottom of the toaster.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARD

When using electrical appliances. Basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the toaster.
  3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs only.
  4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or any part of the toaster in water or other liquid.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  6. Unplug the unit from m mains power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool down before putting on or taking off parts.
  7. Allow t he unit to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
  8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or in an abnormal state. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrical person in order to avoid a hazard, or the product must be disposed of.
  9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch a hot surface.
  10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  11. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
  12. Ove size food, metal foil pack ag e s o r utensils must not be i nserted in the toaster as they may cause fire or electric shock.
  13. CAUTION: Bread may burn, therefore toasters must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be attended ed when in use.
  14. WARNIN G! Electric Shock Hazard. Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is in use or connected to mains power.
  15. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.

  22. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play w ith the appliance.

FOR THE FIRST USE

Then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the first slice.

OPERATION

  1. Put a bread slice into the bread slot, it can b e ins ert ed two slices at most every time.
    • Note: Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned in place before using.
  2. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
  3. Set color control ler t o your desi re d color. T here is 7 position level, the lowest 1 is f o r white and the highest 7 is for dark. The bread slice can be toasted to golden color at the middle position
    • Note:
    • 1). Toasting color for one slice is darker than that for double bread at the same level.
    • 2). If toasted continuously, the toast i ng color for the latter bread is darker than that for the anterior bread at the same level.
  4. Press the carriage handles down vertically until it is positioned in place and the indicator of Can ce l button will be illuminated, and toast will begin at once. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset color, the carriage handle will automatically spring up. You can uplift the carriage handle a little to remove the bread readily.
    • Note: Only when the po wer supply is switched ON, the carriage handle can rest on t h e bottom of slot (pushed down in a locked position).
  5. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset color, the carriage handle will automatically spring up you can also uplift the carriage hand le a little to remove t he bread readily.
  6. If the bread has been taken out from refrig erato r s et color controller to your desired color. P ress carriage handles down vertically until it is positioned in place, then press DEFROST button an d the indic at or will be illuminated I n this mode the bread will be toasted to your desired color.
  7. If you want to reheat the cold toasted bread, press the REHEAT button and the indicator of it will be illuminated. In this mode toasting time is fixed, so long as time i s running over, the carriage handle will automatically spring up and end up the reheating process.

  3. Pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster and empty it. I f toaster is used frequently,  accumulated breadcrumbs should be removed at least once a week M ake sure the crumb tra y is completely closed before using the toaster again.
  4. When not used or storage, the power cord may be wound under the bottom of the toaster.
