INTENDED USE
The Easy@Home Digital Thermometer EMT-021 is intended for measuring and monitoring human body temperature. It is suitable for both hospital and home use.
FEATURES
- Large LCD displays the measured temperature.
- The memory function shows the last measured temperature on the LCD display.
- A “Bi Bi Bi” alarm will sound three times in a row 10 times to indicate a high temperature, for a total of 30 beeps.
- Self-test and power automatic shut-off.
- Quick temperature response and high accuracy (±0.2°F /±0.1 °q.
- Compares to a mercury thermometer minus the problems of both mercury pollution and possible broken glass.
SPECIFICATIONS
HOW TO USE

Press the On/Off button then the LCD will display 188.8°F (188.8°C) for 2 seconds, a fullscreen display is as below:
Then it will show the last measurement. Wait until °F or °C flashes, then start measuring. -
If the environmental or ambient temperature is higher than 109.2°F (42.9°C), LCD will display Hi°F (Hi0C). If lower than 89.6°F(32.0°C), it will display Lo°F {Lo0C).After turning on the thermometer, it will display below symbols in sequence: 188.8°F/°C, the last measurement (if the last temperature is lower than 89.6° F /32.0°C, it will be a Lo° F/Lo0C}, the default setting temperature 98.6°F or 37 °C, then the current temperature of the flexible tip with a flickering °F/°C (if the ambient temperature is lower than 89.6°F /32.0°C, it will be a Lo with a flickering ° F/0C) to indicate you are ready to test.
NOTE : The Lo with a flickering °F/°C is not an indication of a low battery. A true low battery symbol is an empty flickering battery. When the environment or ambient temperature is higher than 109.2°F{42.9°C), LCD will display Hi °F(Hi °C), in this case, you may need to wait till the temperature is lower than 109.2°F{42.9°C) to take. -
Use alcohol to disinfect the probe then choose the method you prefer to measure:
- Oral use: Place the probe under the tongue and close the mouth for approximately 25 seconds to finish a measurement. The normal temperature range for an adult is 97.3 ° F-98.9 ° F (36.3°C -37.2°C), as it applies to an oral read.
- Axillary use: Wipe the armpit with a dry towel then place the probe in the armpit firmly for approximately 25-37 seconds to finish a measurement. The normal temperature range for an adult is 96.8 °F -98.6 °F (36°C- 37°q, as it applies to an auxiliary read.
- Rectal use: Lubricate the probe with water-soluble jelly such as K-Y jelly. Do not use petroleum jelly like Vaseline for easier insertion because this will adversely affect the accuracy of the result. Insert the probe into the rectum about 1/2 inch at most (ensure not too deep to avoid injury) for about 25 seconds to complete the measurement. The normal temperature range for an adult is 97.7 °F -99.8 °F (36.5°C -37.l°q, as it applies to rectal read.
- Bi Bi Bi” alarm will sound a total of ten times indicating the completion of the temperature in the normal range.
- The power will be shut off automatically if there is no temperature rising for 1 O minute.
- Replace the battery :

Suitable for EMT-021 The battery in your Easy@Home digital thermometer needs to be replaced when the “ ” symbol flash in the corner of the display screen.
To replace the battery -
Push or slide the battery cover away from the unit.

Use a non-metal pointed tool to remove the battery and insert the new battery with the positive (+) side facing up. 5.1.3. Carefully slide the battery cover back into place.
Notes: -
It is suggested to stay with the same measurement method. This means especially not taking oral or armpit measurements after taking rectum temperatures for hygienic reasons.

Press the power button for approximately 10 seconds until the unit flickers in the shutdown state.

Then, release the power key and then quickly press the power key again for a short time to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Finally, turn the power button off and then back on, and the switch is successful.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not bite, bend or dismantle the thermometer.
- Keep the device out of the reach of children/pets to avoid inhalation or swallowing of small parts.
- Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, high temperature, or moisture.
- Do not sterilize the device. Prevent saliva or cleaning solution from penetrating the display window.
- Clean the thermometer before and after use with a soft cloth and a cleaning solution and store it in a plastic case. It is recommended to wipe with an alcohol pad for home use.
- If the LCD display shows a low battery symbol or is not as clear visual as usual, it means the battery may be running out.
- Please be sure to replace the battery before next use in this case.
WARNINGS
- Do not perform maintenance while the thermometer is in use.
- The device is not for use in an OXYGEN-RICH ENVIRONMENT.
- Before each use, check the device. Do not use a damaged device or device with damaged electrical wiring. The continuous use of a damaged unit may cause inaccurate results or bodily injury.

- Do not open or repair the device by yourself.
- The main material of the case is ABS. Be cautious of potential allergic reactions to these materials.
- The typical service life of an unused new battery is 100 hours of continuous operation.

Note:
Any solution, dilution, or method other than those mentioned above might cause
reliability problems with the thermometer. Users should measure, change
batteries under normal circumstances, and maintain the device and its
accessories according to the user manual.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This thermometer is guaranteed for 1 year from the purchasing date under normal use. The warranty does not cover the damage of improper use or the battery running out.
