Fitting kit
- 1 x M6 x 16mm button allen bolt CBOLM60008
- 2 x M6 nvlon washer CWASM60004
- 1 × M6 s/steel washer CWASM60001
- 1 x plastic rivet fixing CRIV0001
Fitting instructions
Remove the original chain guard.
The nylon fitting will pull out once the inner screw has been undone a few
turns. Remove the brake hose clamp from the top of the swing arm spar.
In the first instance, do not fully tighten the fasteners
Position the hugger, re-fit the hose clamp using the original screws (apply
loctite or similar thread retaining compound). Secure the hugger to the chain
guard mounts using the bolts supplied (apply loctite or a similar thread
retaining compound) with nylon washer and the new plastic fitting.
VERY IMPORTANT – Position the remaining nylon washer under the head of the new plastic fitting. Insert the fixing and “tap” the screw home with a light mallet. Check hugger alignment before finally tightening all fasteners.
Please note: check hugger alignment and fasteners periodically.
