Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before installation, make sure you have the necessary components:

    • A – VA140 ARGB x 2
    • B-1 – Backplate x 1
    • B-2 – Backplate x 1
    • C – AMD Bracket x 1
    • D – AMD TR4 Bracket x 1
    • E – Backplate Screw x 4
    • F – Fan Screw x 8
    • G – Thermal Paste x 1
    • H – Nut x 4
    • I – Spacer x 4
    • J – Standoff x 4
    • K – AMD Bracket Screw x 2
    • L – Screw x 4
    • M – Screw x 4
    • N – Radiator Screw x 8
    • O – 1 to 2 Fan Splitter x 1
    • P – Wireless Controller x 1
    • User Manual x 1
  2. To prepare for installation:

    • For Intel LGA115X / 1200 / 1366 / 775: Use the B-1
      Backplate

    • For Intel LGA20XX: Use the B-2 Backplate

    • For AMD: Use the AMD Bracket

    • For AMD TR4: Use the AMD TR4 Bracket

    • For LGA 1700: Use the E Backplate Screw

  3. Follow the installation steps for your specific CPU socket:

    • For Intel LGA775, LGA115X, and LGA1200:
    1. Attach the B-1 Backplate to the motherboard using screws L.
    2. Apply thermal paste on the CPU.
    3. Install the water block & pump (POSEIDON LT ARGB) onto the CPU socket.
    4. Secure the water block & pump using screws M.
    5. Attach the VA140 ARGB fans to the radiator using screws N.
    6. Connect the fans to the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter (O).
    7. Connect the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter to the motherboard or wireless controller (P).
  • * For Intel LGA1366:
    1. Attach the B-1 Backplate to the motherboard using screws L.
    2. Apply thermal paste on the CPU.
    3. Install the water block & pump (POSEIDON LT ARGB) onto the CPU socket.
    4. Secure the water block & pump using screws M.
    5. Attach the VA140 ARGB fans to the radiator using screws N.
    6. Connect the fans to the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter (O).
    7. Connect the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter to the motherboard or wireless controller (P).
    • For AMD:
      1. Attach the AMD Bracket to the motherboard using screws K.
      2. Apply thermal paste on the CPU.
      3. Install the water block & pump (POSEIDON LT ARGB) onto the CPU socket.
      4. Secure the water block & pump using screws M.
      5. Attach the VA140 ARGB fans to the radiator using screws N.
      6. Connect the fans to the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter (O).
      7. Connect the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter to the motherboard or wireless controller (P).
    • For AMD TR4:
      1. Attach the AMD TR4 Bracket to the motherboard using screws D.
      2. Apply thermal paste on the CPU.
      3. Install the water block & pump (POSEIDON LT ARGB) onto the CPU socket.
      4. Secure the water block & pump using screws M.
      5. Attach the VA140 ARGB fans to the radiator using screws N.
      6. Connect the fans to the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter (O).
      7. Connect the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter to the motherboard or wireless controller (P).
    • For LGA1700:
      1. Attach the E Backplate Screw to the motherboard.
      2. Apply thermal paste on the CPU.
      3. Install the water block & pump (POSEIDON LT ARGB) onto the CPU socket.
      4. Secure the water block & pump using screws M.
      5. Attach the VA140 ARGB fans to the radiator using screws N.
      6. Connect the fans to the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter (O).
      7. Connect the 1 to 2 Fan Splitter to the motherboard or wireless
        controller (P).
  1. Mode Switching:

    • Make sure the POSEIDON LT ARGB is connected to a 5V Addressable RGB header.
    • Default: Remote Controller
    • Press Once: Motherboard Driver RGB Control
    • Press Again: Turn Off RGB Lighting
  2. Remote Controller Functions:

    • Power Button
    • Autoplay All 100 Lighting Effects
    • Light Flow Direction Adjustment (Left/Right)
    • Next/Previous Lighting Effect (10 Most Popular Effects)
    • Speed Adjustment
    • Brightness Adjustment
    • Next/Previous Lighting Effect (ALL 100 EFFECTS)
    • Single Color Lighting
    • Press and Hold 3 Seconds: Restore Factory Settings
    • Next/Previous Lighting Effect (Single Color Mode)
    • Press and hold for 5 seconds until the device’s backlight changes to red: Bind your Poseidon LT ARGB to this Controller (If a nearby controller is interfering with your Poseidon LT ARGB, you can make use of the binding functionality to prevent that Poseidon LT ARGB from receiving commands from any controller other than the one it’s bound to)
    • Press and hold for 5 seconds until the device’s backlight changes to white: Unbind Your Poseidon LT ARGB (If you lose your controller after binding, use the new Controller to unbind the Poseidon LT ARGB before using it)

MODE SWITCHING

Poseidon LT ARGB must be connected to 5V Addressable RGB header.

Press and hold for 5 seconds until the device’s backlight changes to red :
Bind your Poseidon LT ARGB to this Controller (If a nearby controller is interfering with your Poseidon LT ARGB, you can make use of the binding functionality to prevent that Poseidon LT ARGB from receiving commands from any controller other than the one it’s bound to)

Press and hold for 5 seconds until the device’s backlight changes to white :
Unbind Your Poseidon LT ARGB (If you lose your controller after binding, use the new Controller to unbind the Poseidon LT ARGB before using it)

If you want to synchronize the lighting effects with more ARGB devices, we recommend you to use our Core Box V3/V2
(sold separately). They have compatible motherboard’s 3-pin 5V Addressable RGB headers for system-wide synchronization.

  • CORE BOX V3 / CORE BOX V2 are NOT included, please purchase separately.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights granted under local law. These rights may vary.

WARRANTY AGREEMENT

  • If the product has defects in material or manufacture, COUGAR will provide product repair and replacement service within the warranty period.
  • Our warranty service is based on the date of the invoice or warranty card (must be affixed with the store stamp).

If you lose the aforementioned evidence, we will apply the original shipping date of the product as the beginning date of warranty period. The shipping date will be identified by the product serial number(S/N).

CONDITIONS WHERE FREE MAINTENANCE IS NOT PROVIDED

  • Any fault or damage caused by natural disasters (including storm, fire, flood, thunder, earthquake, etc).
  • Any fault or damage caused by accidental factors and man-made reasons (including hit, scrape, crash, moving, compression, stain, corrosion, use of incurred on unsuitable voltage, computer virus, riot, misuse, malicious damage, etc).
  • Use in an improper operating environment (including high temperature, high humidity, water inflow, etc).
  •  Inability to provide the product warranty card, purchase receipt or invoice to prove the product is still within the warranty period and the shipping date of the product is out of warranty.
  • The warranty card or product serial number has been altered or its number is hard to identify.
  • The warranty period has expired.
  • Any fault or damage caused by non-compliance with regulations stated on the user manual or improper, rough and careless treatment.
  • Any fault or damage caused by use of parts not certified by COUGAR original manufacturer.
  • The problem is caused by improper repair or adjustment by the buyer or any manufacturer without authorization from COUGAR.
  • The product is not acquired from an authorized distributor of the company or is acquired from illicit sources.
  • Paper carton, instruction and other accessories are not warranted.
