Does this printer scan by an auto feeder?
Yes, you can scan from the auto feeder on the MFC-L3710CW printer.
If you run out in one of the color cartridges, can you still continue to print using black only?
Yes. The Brother MFC-L3710CW color laser printer will allow you to print in black and white when one or more color cartridges are empty.
Does this printer have wireless scanning capabilities?
It’s able to scan and email directly without any computer hooked up. You can save the email addresses that are most used as a quick option so that it’s not as many menus in the future also.
You can continue to print through this message when placing the printer in Mono mode. The toner is reset once the empty toner has been replaced.
Does it print double sided?
No, it doesn’t print double-sided, unfortunately. I have a different brother print that costs less, but it’s only black and white. That one does double- sided. It’s a 2710 series.
Can this scan legal sized documents?
Yes, this machine can scan a legal size document from the ADF slot.
Can I scan multiple documents from the feeder or flatbed only?
You can scan from the feeder and flatbed, both.
Does this print on transparencies?
The Brother MFC-L3710CW is not designed to print on transparencies.
Will it work with chromebook?

The Brother MFCL3710CW was not designed to print on cards, however, you will be able to print thick paper, and the size can be customized on the program you are printing from, feel free to contact Brother customer support for additional information.
Is this the replacement for the 9130CW?
Yes, the MFC-L3710cw is the recommended replacement for the MFC-9130cw.
Are you able to add an additional tray to this printer?
An optional tray can not be added to the Brother MFC-L3710CW.
Will fax work over a voip line?
With the Brother MFC-L3710CW, Brother doesn't guarantee that fax transmission will work over VoIP phone lines. Internet traffic can interfere with faxing because VoIP communicates through the Internet and not through a standard analog telephone line. The data sent over the Internet for fax is digitized into packets, which can cause data loss.
