IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. This appliance is not intended for use by personslincluding children] with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible or their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  3. Remove and discard the plastic bag and other packaging materials after unboxing.
  4. Do not place the appliance directly against a wall or other appliances. Leave at least
  5. inches [10cm) of free space surrounding the appliance.
  6. During use, never put anything on the top of the appliance.
  7. Any accessible surface may become hot during use when the appliance is working or before it cools down. Never directly touch the appliance, plate, basket or glass.
  8. This appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use it outdoors or for purposes other than food frying.
  9. Make sure that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches the local mains voltage. Always make sure that the plug is inserted into a grounded wall socket properly.
  10. This appliance is categorized into Class Please ensure that the ground wire is well-grounded before use.
  11. A socket with a ground must be used and its current should be 10A or above. The plug of the appliance must be fully ftted into the socket. This is to prevent the components from overheating and burning due to poor contact. (C
  12. This appliance is not intended to be operated using an external timer or separate remote control system.
  13. Never plug or unplug the appliance with wet hands.
  14. This appliance is intended for countertop use only. Do not use this appliance on flammable objects such as carpets, towels, plastic, paper, etc.
  15. Ensure that the appliance is placed and operated on a flat, even, dry, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
  16. Do not use the appliance on or near a hot gas burner, hot electrical burner or in a heated oven.
  17. This appliance must be kept 30cm away from the fire source.
  18. Never use the appliance under or near combustible materials such as curtains and closets.
  19. Do not let the appliance work while it’s unattended.
  20.  Make sure the power cord does not contact sharp edges, hair, or items with hot surfaces. Do not let it hang over the edges of tables or counters.
  21. When the appliance is working, please use available handles or knobs. Never touch the hot surface or inside of the appliance.
  22. Never let the appliance work without any food ingredients inside the basket. It’s not recommended to continuously use the appliance for over 3 hours.
  23. During use, never put any flammable materials such as paper and plastic into the appliance.
  24. Do not place any explosive items like glass or sealed containers into the appliance.
  25. When the appliance is working, make sure the food is not contacting the heating tube. Never overfill the appliance.
  26. If you are frying foods with a pH value being less than 5 such as vinegar, lemon juice of other sauce, please be sure to wrap them in foil.
  27. When the appliance is working, hot steam is released through the air outlets and the temperature rises. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the steam and do not touch the hot surfaces. BE CAREFUL of hot steam and air when you remove the fryer basket from the appliance.
  28. Please make sure the appliance stops working first, then unplug it.
  29. When unplugging the appliance, you must hold the plug and pull it out. Never forcibly pull or twist the power cord.
  30. When removing the food from the appliance, please use heat-resistant items.
  31. Clean the basket and plate of the appliance after each use.
  32. Let the appliance cool down before cleaning.
  33. Unplug the appliance when it is not in use, before you clean or move it
  34. If the power cord or plug shows any or sign of damage. please immediately stop using it and contact us. Only use the original parts provided by us.
  35. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
  36. If the appliance is damaged or malfunctioning, please immediately stop using it and contact us.
  37. When disposing of this appliance, please cut off the power cord and hand it over to a qualified department for recycling.
  38. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. The cord should be arranged so that it will not hang over the countertop or tabletop where of be it can be pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally.
  39. To disconnect, turn any control to “ff*, then remave the plug from the wall outlet.

GET STARTED

  1. Remove all the packaging materials from the air fryer.
  2. Wash Fryer Basket, Crisper Plate and Grilling Plate in warm, soapy water; wipe the side and bottom of the air fryer with a damp soapy cloth. Then clean and dry them completely.
  3. Place the air fryer on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface. Leave at least 3.9inches(10cm) of free space surrounding it and do not block the air outlet.
  4. Put the Fryer Basket, Crisper Plate, or Gilling Plate back into the air fryer according to your cooking needs.

USE YOUR AIR FRYER

AIR CRISP MODE

Step 1:

  • Put the Fryer Basket and Crisper Plate back into the air fryer. Make sure the fryerbasket is properly aligned with the air fryer according to the mark on the basket and the snap-fit part at the bottom of the basket; otherwise, the cover is not closed properly.

Step 2:

  • Close the Transparent Cover and plug the air fryer into a socket. The Air Crisp Mode Toggle Button and the LED Display light up automatically.

Step 3:

  • Press the button to adjust the temperature and time, then pess theto preheat . The LED Display will alternately flash the time and temperature.

Notes:

  • For first-time use, we strongly recommend preheating the air fryer for 30 minutes (Please set the temperature to 180 C) ina ventilated space to remove odor if there is.
  • For daily use, we recommend preheating the air fryer for 5 minutes before each cooking.

Step 4:

  • After the preheating process ends, you can put your food on the Crisper Plate and press to select the right mode from Vegetable, French Fries, Chicken, Beef, Seafood, Dessert and Dehydrate according to your needs. The selected mode’s indicator lights up and the LED Display shows the frying time.

  • Step 5(Optional): If the temperature of the selected mode iS not appropriate, you can press to adjust the temperature.HOPER-LAYER-KZ-50-2-In-1-Air-Fryer-FIG-19
  • Tip: Temperature can be adjusted in the range of 35-200°C, being increased or decreased by 5°C for every press.
  • Step (Optional): If the time of the selected mode is not appropriate, you can press to adjust the time.
  • Tip: Time can be adjusted in the range of 0-360mins, being increased or decreased by 1 minute for every press.
  • Step 7: Press  to start frying. You can check the frying progress via the transparent cover at any time.
  • Tip: Press Ito stop frying; long press to cancel frying.

Step 8:

  • When the LED Diplay shows End, the frying process ends and you can take out the food with a heat-recitant item
AIR GRILL MODE

Step 1:

  • Put the Gilling Plate onto the base of the air fryer and make sure the plate is properly aligned with the air fryer.

Step 2:

  • Put your food onto the Grilling Plate, close the Transparent Cover and plug the air fryer into a socket. The Heating Level Toggle Button and the LED Display light up automatically.HOPER-LAYER-KZ-50-2-In-1-Air-Fryer-FIG-24

Step 3:

  • Press the button to selecta heating level from P1 (low), P2 (medium) and P3 (high)

Step4:

  • press the button to adjust the grilling time.

Tip:

  • Time cane adjusted in the range of 0-90mins, being incresed or decreased by 1 minute for every press.

Step5:

  • Pess the buton direction. to start grilling. The Grilling Plate will rotate in an anticlockwise

Step 6:

  • When the LED Display shows End, the grilling process ends and you can take out the food with a heat-resistant item

Notes:

  1. When grilling the food, please place them on the grilling area. After grilling, move the food to the heat preservation area to keep them warm.HOPER-LAYER-KZ-50-2-In-1-Air-Fryer-FIG-28
  2. The excess oil produced by the food enters the oil tray and then flows to the oil box.
  3. The water box is used to collect the water produced in the Air Crisp Mode.
  4. Please check if there is food residue left into the Grilling Plate; if yes, please clean it up for next use.

COOKING TIPS

  1.  Ensure that the height of the food does not exceed the height of the fryer basket.
  2.  Do not put a paper or plastic containers that are not heat-resistant into the air fryer.
  3.  Never put glass or ceramic plates with food into the air fryer.
  4.  For better cooking results, it is recommended to preheat the air fryer about
  5. 10 minutes before each use.
  6. Some food can be wrapped in foil to cook. The tastes would be better.
  7. The time and temperature can be adjusted according to your preference with food tastes. You can check the cooking process from the transparent cover.
  8. n the air fryer is working or after working for a while, the temperature of some parts may be very high. Do not touch any surface or move the air fryer.
  9.  If you want to continue cooking, clean up the residue on the plate from the last time to avoid burning and smoking.
  10. Flipping the food halfway is recommended for a better cooking result.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

  1. Before cleaning, unplug your air fryer and wait until it cools down completely.
  2. User a soft damp cloth with warm soapy water to clean if the side of the air fryer has oil and stain.
  3. For the air fryer and other parts of it, please use a neutral agent to clean.
  4. Do not immerse the air fryer in water or any other liquid to clean.
  5. After cleaning, always remember to dry all the parts, then store them in a cool and ventilated place.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Q1. The air fryer does not work.

  • Check if you have plugged in the air fryer.
  • Make sure that you have properly put the right part into or onto the air fryer.

Q2. The fan does not run.

  • Check if you have plugged in the air fryer and the indicators light up normally.
  • Make sure you have pressed the Start/Stop button.

Q3. The transparent cover can’t be closed well in the air crisp mode.

  • Check if you have put too much food into the fryer basket.
  • Make sure the fryer basket is properly aligned with the air fryer according to the mark on the basket and the snap-fit part at the bottom of the basket; otherwise, the cover is not closed properly.
  • Check if the edge of the fryer basket is deformed. If yes, please contact us to deal with this issue.

Q4. White smoke comes out from the air fryer.

  • Cooking high-fat food will cause fat to dip into the bottom of the basket, which is normal.
  • Check if there is the residue left from the last cook. Please clean the parts of the air fryer after each cook.

Q5. The LED Display shows E51.

  • There is an open circuit of the temperature sensor. Contact us to deal with this issue.

Q7. The LED display shows Er.

  • The fryer basket or gilling plate is not properly aligned with the air fryer. If the ise sill exists after trying the solution, please contact us to deal with it.

The warranty does not cover:

  1. natural ageing of products;

  5. malfunctions caused by the water quality and scale deposit;
  6. damages caused by using products for profit or by using them in public places, and also, for other purposes which have not been provided for household needs. These products are designed for domestic use only:
  7. malfunctions caused by a penetration of foreign items inside goods, and also, by heat impact on plastic and other not heat-resistant parts of products;
  8. goods that have been under repair somewhere, except in the HoperLayer registered maintenance shops, including those repaired independently, and those that the owner has attempted to open by themselves;
  9. damages caused by the imprudence or negligence, and as a result of a bad handling by the owner:
  10. damages caused by circumstances beyond one’s reasonable control (electric network pressure differences, fire, flooding, accident and other force-majeure circumstances].
  • The maintenance service is provided only in the Hoper Layer registered maintenance shops, and in only in cases covered by the present warranty certificate. If there is any problem while using our products, address to one of our registered maintenance shops, or call the HoperLayer Customer Service.
