HFCL ion4xi-WP Wall Plate Access Point
Product Information: ion4xi_WP Wall Plate Access Point
The ion4xi_WP is a powerful and sleek Wall Plate Access Point provided by HFCL. It is compliant with 802.11ax and features 2×2:2 Multi-User MIMO. The Access Point comes with a mounting bracket, Allen key, plastic wall anchors, wall-mount screws, Phillips screws, and a Phillips security screw. It supports IEEE 802.3af PoE or +12V DC Power Adaptor (optional) for power supply.
The ion4xi_WP has a peak throughput of up to 1.78 Gbps and supports Wi-Fi standards 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ac Wave 2/ax. It features 1 X 10/100/1000/2500 BASE-T Ethernet (WAN & PoE-In), 4 X 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet (LAN), DC input jack (optional), reset and WPS buttons, and self-creating, self-healing EasyMesh mesh support. The maximum number of SSID is 16 (per radio) and it can support up to 256 users.
The Access Point has integrated antennas with antenna gain management and enclosure dimensions of 163 x 150 x 38 mm (6.4 x 5.9 x 1.49 inch). It weighs approximately 0.59 kg and operates in temperature ranging from 00C to 400C. The product is certified with FCC Class B, CE, Passpoint 3.0, EasyMesh, WPA3, and RoHS 3.0.
Product Usage Instructions
Mounting the Access Point
- Align the mounting slots of the Access Point with the hooks of the bracket and ensure that it is properly hinged in its place. HFCL is not held liable for any damages incurred during the process, so securely align the mounting slots of access point with hooks of the bracket.
- Secure the Access Point to the bracket by tightening the Phillips Security Screw using the Allen key.
Getting the ion4xi_WP Online
The Access Point can be powered up using PoE adaptor (48V) or DC adaptor
(12V). Plug and Adaptor will vary by country/ region.
- Connect the Access Point to a power source using either a PoE adapter or DC adapter.
- Connect an Ethernet cable to the computer.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the Access Point or use a PoE adaptor to do so.
- Open the web browser and enter the Access Point static IP address in the address bar: 192.168.1.1
- A login screen will appear. Enter the default login credential details: User- root, Password- hfcl!@ion
Controller Managed AP
- Power-up the AP through PoE adapter or PoE switch.
- Connect the AP to DHCP network and Internet.
- Login to HFCL I0 cloud controller (cNMS) cnms.ionetworks.in with credentials provided.
- Refer to our website io.hfcl.com for detailed information to configure AP through cNMS.

Mounting of ion4xi_WP Access Point

The Access Point comes with a pre-attached wall mounting bracket

Use Allen Key to unscrew the wall mounting bracket from the Access Point

An electrical wall box should be pre-installed with an Ethernet cable running from the box to a Switch with PoE used with various wall boxes. Attach the bracket on the wall using the wall mount screws
Note: Make sure that mounting bracket is tightly installed before mounting the Access Point on the wall. -

Pass the Ethernet cable through the bracket and connect it to the PoE port on the Access Point

Step 1: Power up

Step 3: Check the LED status
LED Color | Status |

Safety Precautions
Observe the following safety precautions to avoid damage to the Wall Plate Access Point
- Do not subject the device to high temperatures
- Keep away from high voltage cables
- Disconnect the device before cleaning it
- Do not wipe the device with a damp cloth
- Do not open the enclosure of the Access Point
- Fasten the device tightly with the mount
