Product Information

The W0426/W0428 is a fixture that requires assembly and installation. It comes with a hardware package that includes a mounting plate unit, mounting screw, wire connector, bolt nut, glass shade, and a backplate. The fixture is designed for use with a maximum 60W Type T bulb (not included) and requires proper wiring and grounding as per local electrical codes. The product also includes spare parts that can be re-ordered in case of damage or loss.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before starting the installation process, turn off the power at the fuse or circuit box to avoid electrical shock.
  2. Unscrew the two bolt nuts (D) and remove the mounting plate unit (A) from the backplate.
  3. Attach the mounting plate unit (A) to the outlet box using two mounting screws (B). Adjust the length of the pre-installed fixture mounting screws if necessary. Ensure that two fixture mounting screws are lined up horizontally to make the fixture level.
  4. Attach the backplate of the fixture to the mounting plate unit (A) by aligning and inserting the two fixture mounting screws into set holes on the backplate. Secure them with two bolt nuts (D).
  5. Install a maximum 60W medium base bulb (not included) and check the relamping label at the socket area or packaging for the maximum wattage allowed.
  6. Attach the glass shade to the fixture and rotate the bottom glass shade to the fixture.
  7. After completing the installation, turn on the power at the fuse or circuit box.

Note: To avoid electrical shock, be sure to shut off power while installing or servicing the fixture. Before installing, consult local electrical codes for wiring and grounding requirements. It is also recommended to read and save these instructions for future reference.

Installation Steps

Turn off the power at fuse or circuit box.

  1. Unscrew the two bolt nuts (D), remove the mounting plate unit (A) from the backplate.
  2. Attach the mounting plate unit (A) to the outlet box by using two mounting screws (B). Adjust the length of the preinstalled fixture mounting screws if necessary.
    • Note: Make sure that two fixture mounting screws are lined up horizontally to make the fixture level.
  3. Pull out the source wires from the outlet box. Make wire connections using wire connectors (C) as follows:
    • Connect the hot wire (black insulation) from the fixture to the black wire from the power source.
    • Connect the neutral wire (white insulation) from the fixture to the white wire from the power source.
    • Attach the fixture ground wire (bare wire) to the mounting plate unit (A) with green ground screw, then depending on local code, connect it to the house ground wire with the wire connector (C).
    • Carefully put all of the wires back into the outlet box.
  4. Attach the backplate of the fixture to the mounting plate unit (A) by aligning and inserting the two fixture mounting screws into set holes on backplate, then secure them with two bolt nuts (D).
  5. Install 1 x 60W max. medium base bulb (not included). Check relamping label at socket area or packaging for maximum wattage allowed.
  6. Attach the glass shade to the fixture, then rotate the bottom glass shade to the fixture.

Turn on the power at fuse or circuit box.
