Product Information
The Digital Oven model PPT485 is a multi-functional kitchen appliance that can be used for baking, roasting, toasting, broiling, and cooking various dishes. It has a glass door with a handle, a bake pan, a bake rack, a tray handle, and a rotisserie set. The oven has a touchscreen control panel that includes buttons for temperature, time, inner lamp, convection, menu, and start/pause. There are 14 pre-set cooking menus with different time and temperature settings, including DIY, Toast, Bake, Roast, Broil, Bagel, Pizza, Cookies, Rotisserie, Potato, Corn, Keep Warm, Defrost, and Ferment. The oven also has a lower heating function and an inner lamp that can be used separately or with other functions.
Product Usage Instructions
When using the Digital Oven PPT485:
- Read the user manual carefully before use.
- Use the oven only for the purpose it was designed for.
- Keep the oven away from heat sources and flammable substances.
- Place the oven at least 10 cm away from surrounding walls and objects.
- Avoid putting anything on top of the oven.
- Do not place the power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces.
- Unplug the power cable if not using the oven for a long period.
- Do not disassemble or alter the oven.
- If there is a malfunction or anomaly during use, switch off the oven immediately and check the cause with the support of a qualified person.
- Do not place the oven on surfaces or near objects that can be damaged by heat.
- Use a protective pad when operating the oven on wooden furniture.
- Do not touch the outside or inside of the oven while it is operating to prevent scalding.
- The bottom of the oven becomes hot when in use.
To use the oven:
- Select the desired menu using the menu button.
- Adjust the temperature and time using the temperature and time buttons.
- Press the start button to begin cooking.
- Press the pause button to stop cooking temporarily.
- Press the start button again to resume cooking.

WARNINGS
ATTENTION :
Read this booklet carefully as it contains important instructions for a safe
installation, use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:
-
Read all instructions before using the appliance.
-
This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.
-
This appliance is NOT suitable to be used in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the oven, and never be used to clean the oven in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.

The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.
-
The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.
-
Place and use the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface.
-
Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.
-
Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded.
-
DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the electrical parameters of the adapters.
-
The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.
-
Any accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons. Use (and store in the oven when not in use) only the accessories provided: bake pan, bake rack, tray handle and rotisserie set.
-
During use and storage, the appliance must be kept at a safe distance from heat sources (open flame, ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) or any flammable and/or potentially explosive substances.
-
If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:
-
a. Clean the inside of the oven, tray handle, bake pan and bake rack with water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge.
DO NOT use metal scouring pads. Notice: you may use a dishwasher to clean the tray handle, bake pan and bake rack -
b. Ensure that the oven is completely dry before use.
-
c. The following items should NOT be placed in the oven during heating as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock:
-
oversized foods or metal utensils must NOT be inserted into the appliance;
-
containers constructed of any materials (including but not limited to: cardboard, plastic, paper, etc.) other than metal or glass, and ensure that the containers used are approved for use at the set temperature;
-
metal foil covering the bake pan, bake rack or any part of the oven as this may cause overheating of the oven.
-
d. Always wear protective, insulated oven gloves when inserting or removing items from the hot oven.
-
e. The glass door is heavy, please hold the handle until the door is completely open. DO NOT let the door fall by itself without support.
-
f. Extreme caution must be used when moving the oven containing hot oil or other hot liquids, or when removing a tray or disposing of hot grease or other hot liquids.
Make sure to remove any label or protective sheet which may prevent its proper functioning.
DO NOT: -
cover the appliance during functioning;
-
obstruct totally nor partially the air vents;
-
insert objects or body parts inside the protection cover of the appliance;
-
use the appliance near curtains or textiles;
-
heat foods without removing the wrappers (including plastic, paper or metal) first;
-
switch the oven on if it is empty except during preheating (in order to get better cooking performance, it is recommended to pre-heat the oven about 10 minutes);
-
move the oven by the glass door handle;
-
leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.
-

Plug and unplug the power cable with dry hands and hold it firmly. Always unplug the power cable to avoid overheating and avoid stretching it (DO NOT pull it, tug it or use it to drag the appliance to which is connected). Before unplugging the appliance, switch it off, using the proper command on the control panel.
-
During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles).
-
DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock. In case of accidental fall in water, DO NOT try to take it out, but first of all unplug immediately the power cable from the socket.
-
Place the appliance at a proper distance from objects or surrounding walls making sure that its functioning will not cause accidental damages. There should be at least 10 cm of free space from the back, left & right sides, and the top of the oven. Never put things on top of the oven.
-
Avoid placing the power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be damaged easily.
-
Always remember to unplug the power cable of the appliance if it is NOT used for a long period, before storing, cleaning or performing any maintenance operation. Avoid carrying out operations which are NOT specified in this manual (such as disassembling and/or altering).
-
In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch off the appliance immediately, turn off the power and check the cause of the anomaly, if possible, with the support of a qualified person.
-
The appliance shall NOT be placed on a surface or in the vicinity of objects which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets or plastics. When using the oven, the surface that the oven is placed upon may become very hot. If the oven is operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes. During the period of heating, foods containing a high level of moisture may lead to high temperature steam being emitted. To avoid scalding:
- ensure that the oven is correctly positioned before heating;
- DO NOT open the oven during operation;
- DO NOT touch any part of the oven except the handle when the oven is hot;
- one’s hands and face should be angled away from the opening.

DO NOT touch the outside and especially the inside of the oven while it is operating. This is to prevent scalding. The bottom of the oven becomes exceedingly hot as the oven operates.
-
If smoke is observed coming out of the oven, unplug the power cable immediately. This oven is limited to normal domestic usage. It should NOT be used in the dining rooms of shops, office, farms or other working environments. And it should not be used by customers in hotels, motels, guest houses or breakfast rooms, or other accommodation environments without the use of a functioning kitchen.

DO NOT use or store the appliance outdoors. Store and use the appliance only indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.
-
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

HOW TO USE
-
Plug the power cable to the electric mains and switch it ON. Oven will be powered on after 1 second. Lights on the display window will turn off after 1 second, except which remains lighted.

Press and lights on the display window turns on, DIY keeps flashing.
-
Press and then press to select function.
-
Press once to select top & bottom heating, twice for top heating, and thrice for bottom heating.
-
Press to set the temperature (the range is 40°C – 230°C, 0 means off).
-
Press followed by to set the duration of heating
required (the range is 1 minute – 8 hours). Keep pressing the buttons continuously to increase or decrease the temperature in 1 minute intervals. -
Press once to confirm your selections for heating, temperature and duration of heating. The oven will start heating.
-
To pause heating, press .
-
If a change of conditions involving heating, temperature and/or duration of heating is required, repeat steps 3 – 7.
-
Inner Lamp:
Press and the lamp will light up.
Press again and the lamp will switch off.
The lamp will work in both active heating and pause modes. -
Convection Fan:
Convection fans will turn on automatically if the function includes it. If you wish
Press and the fans will turn on.
Press again and the fans will turn off.
The fans will only work in active heating mode. -
When the cooking time is over, the timer will auto shut off and the bell will ring.

Press and hold for 1 – 2 seconds to turn off the oven if you wish to end the heating earlier than the set cooking time.
-
In the first use of this oven, there might be some light smoke coming out from the oven. This is normal. After 5 minutes the smoke will disappear

Unplug the socket from the electric mains before opening the oven.
ROTISSERIE USE
-
Leave the door at the open point.
-
Insert the spit directly through the center of the food item which you intend to roast.
-
Put one skewer through the pointed end of the spit, and slide the skewer towards the square end of the spit.
-
Put the other skewer through the pointed end of the spit, and slide the skewer towards the square end of the spit.
-
Put the two skewers into the food, and secure both skewers with the thumb screws. Make sure the food is centered horizontally on the spit.
-
Insert the pointed end of the spit into the drive socket, making sure the square end of the spit rests on the spit support.
-

After the oven has cooled, place the hooks of the rotisserie handle under the grooves on both sides of the spit. Lift the right side of the spit first, move it a fraction to the right, so that the left side of the spit can exit the drive socket. Then carefully move the roasted food out of the oven. Beware NOT to touch the food as it is extremely hot at this moment

Take the food off the spit.
HOW TO CLEAN
- Unplug the socket from the electric mains when not in use. Wait until the oven is completely cool before cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.
- Wipe the exterior of the oven using a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
- Never immerse the oven in water or other liquids.
- Clean the interior chamber with a clean damp cloth.
ENVIRONMENTAL TIP
This appliance, along with all other electronic appliances, should, when it is no longer capable of functioning, be disposed with the least possible environmental damage according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases you can discard the appliance at your local recycling center.
DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.
WARRANTY
- The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year, starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
- The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship.
- The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorised service centre. When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase date clearly indicated) must be submitted.
The warranty will not apply in cases of:
- normal wear and tear
- if the steps (as laid out in the section regarding Warnings) have not been observed e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories
- if the appliance has not been properly maintained, if force has been used against it or if it has been damaged in any other way damage caused by non-observance of the user manual or non-compliance with the installation instructions errors or faults owing to defects in the distribution system
- if the appliance has been repaired or modified or changed in any way or by any person not properly authorised
