Product Information

The Black Electric Single Motor Desk Frame is a height-adjustable desk frame that allows you to switch between sitting and standing positions while working. The desk frame has a weight capacity of 176lbs (80kg) and comes with all the necessary parts for assembly, including a motorized leg, a non- motorized leg, side brackets, foot, sync rod center shaft, sync rod hex shaft, and various bolts and screws. The desk frame is compatible with a range of tabletop sizes and can be adjusted to different heights using the controller.

Product Usage Instructions

  • Step 1: Loosely assemble the Telescopic Cross Bar Set (A) making sure the locking holes are facing up. Partially insert M6x8 bolts (J) into the locking holes using Allen Wrench (T), making sure the Cross Bar is still able to slide freely.
  • Step 2: Attach Cross Bar (A) to both the Motorized Leg (B) and Non-motorized Leg (C) using M6x10 bolts (K), making sure the locking bolts are still facing up on the Cross Bar. Tighten with Allen Wrench (T).
  • Step 3: Attach Side Brackets (D) to both ends of the frame using M6x10 bolts (K). Tighten with Allen Wrench (T).
  • Step 4: Place a foot (E) on each leg. Attach each foot using M6x30 bolt (L). Tighten with Allen Wrench (T).
  • Step 5: Insert ST4.8×16 bolts (H) into the pre-drilled holes on each side of the frame. Tighten with Phillips screwdriver.
  • Step 6: Insert one of the Sync Rod Hex Shafts (G) through the motor and into the Motorized Leg (B). If the hex does not line up with the leg, temporarily plug the Motorized Leg (B) and the AC Adapter (N) into the Controller (M) (see step 10 for details). Then, while pushing on the hex shaft, very briefly press the up and down arrows until the shaft slides into the leg.
  • Step 7: Loosen the preinstalled set screws on the Sync Rod Center Shaft (F) using Allen Wrench (S). Slide the Sync Rod Center Shaft (F) onto the installed motor Sync Rod Hex Shaft (G) as far as it will go. Then install the second Sync Rod Hex Shaft (G) into the Sync Rod Center Shaft (F). Then slide the second Hex Shaft into the Non-motorized Leg (C). If the hex does not line up with the leg, temporarily plug the motorized leg (B) and the AC Adapter (N) into the Controller (M) (see step 10 for details). Then, while pushing on the shaft, very briefly press the up and down arrows until the shaft slides into the leg.
  • Step 8: Center the Sync Rod Center Shaft (F) so it rest’s evenly on both Sync Rod Hex Shafts (G). When in place, tighten the preinstalled set screws using the smaller Allen Wrench (S). Be sure not to pull out the hex shafts from either leg.
  • Step 9: Secure cables using Cable Clips (P).
  • Step 10: Plug in AC Adapter (N) and Power Cord (O) to the Controller (M). Plug in the Controller to a power outlet. The desk frame is now ready for use.

ASSEMBLY STEPS

  • STEP 1
Loosely assemble the Telescopic Cross Bar Set (A) making sure the locking holes are facing up as shown below. Partially insert M6x8 bolts (J) into the locking holes using Allen Wrench (T), making sure the Cross Bar is still able to slide freely.

  • STEP 2
Attach Cross Bar (A) to both the Motorized Leg (B) and Non-motorized Leg (C) using M6x10 bolts (K), making sure the locking bolts are still facing up on the Cross Bar. Tighten with Allen Wrench (T).

  • STEP 3
Attach Side Brackets (D) to both ends of the frame using M6x10 bolts (K). Tighten with Allen Wrench (T).

  • STEP 4
Place a foot (E) on each leg as shown below. Attach each foot using M6x30 bolt (L). Tighten with Allen Wrench (T).

  • STEP 5

    • FOR VIVO DESKTOP: Adjust frame width until the Side Bracket (D) holes line up with the pre-drilled holes on the desktop. Adjust center crossbar section until all M6x8 bolts (J) are able to make contact, then fully tighten using Allen Wrench (T). To attach the desktop, refer to the manual included with your desktop. Set aside x2 of the ST4.8×16 screws (H) for mounting the AC Adapter (N).
    • FOR OTHER DESKTOP: Adjust the frame to the desired width while making sure the overhang does not exceed 10″ on either side. Adjust center crossbar section until all M6x8 bolts (J) are able to make contact, then fully tighten using Allen Wrench (T). Mark and drill pilot holes to a depth of 3/8″ (10mm) using a 1/8″ (3mm) bit where the Side Brackets (D) align on the desktop. Secure the frame using ST4.8×16 screws (H) to the desktop. Set aside x2 of the ST4.8×16 screws (H) for mounting the AC Adapter (N).
  • STEP 6
Insert one of the Sync Rod Hex Shafts (G) through the motor and into the Motorized Leg (B).
NOTE: If the hex does not line up with the leg, temporarily plug the Motorized Leg (B) and the AC Adapter (N) into the Controller (M) (see step 10 for details). Then, while pushing on the hex shaft, very briefly press the up and down arrows (alternating between the two buttons so the legs will still be even when assembled) until the shaft slides into the leg.

  • STEP 7
Loosen the preinstalled set screws on the Sync Rod Center Shaft (F) using Allen Wrench (S).
NOTE: If the hex does not line up with the leg, temporarily plug the motorized leg (B) and the AC Adapter (N) into the Controller (M) (see step 10 for details). Then, while pushing on the shaft, very briefly press the up and down arrows (alternating between the two buttons so the legs will still be even when assembled) until the shaft slides into the leg.

  • STEP 8
Center the Sync Rod Center Shaft (F) so it rest’s evenly on both Sync Rod Hex Shafts (G). When in place, tighten the preinstalled set screws using the smaller Allen Wrench (S).
Note: Be sure not to pull out the hex shafts from either leg.

  • STEP 9
Attach the Controller (M) to the desktop using ST2.9×15 screws (I), making sure it is on the side of the Motorized Leg (B).

  • STEP 10
Plug cables together as shown below. Tidy up cables using Cable Clips (P). Attach AC Adapter (N) to desktop using ST4.8×16 screws (H), the Screw-on Eyelets (Q), and 10″ Zipties (R) as shown below. Note: A desk reset is required before use. Refer to the Controller User Guide for operational instructions. Ensure there is enough slack in the cables at the lowest and highest positions before use.

  • STEP 11
If necessary, adjust foot pads at the bottom of foot (E) to level the desk.

CAUTION!

  1. Do not exceed desk weight limit.
  2. Keep area of vertical motion free of obstacles.
  3. Keep weight on desk balanced for correct operation and longer life of components.
  4. Leave enough slack in cables to allow for full range of vertical motion.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage and/or personal injury.
