Product Information
This product is a Storage Rack with a total weight capacity of 600 lbs, evenly distributed among its four shelves. Each shelf has a weight capacity of 150 lbs, evenly distributed. It is important to follow the assembly and use precautions provided in the user manual to prevent injury and product failure due to overloading or improper use.
Product Assembly Precautions
- Assemble only according to the instructions provided in the user manual to prevent hazards.
- Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly.
- Keep the assembly area clean and well-lit.
- Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly.
- Do not assemble when tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
- The weight capacity and other product capabilities apply only to a properly and completely assembled product.
Product Use Precautions
- Do not allow children to play with or near this product as it is not a toy.
- Use the product as intended only.
- Inspect before every use and do not use if parts are loose or damaged.
- Use only on a flat level surface and do not climb or stand on it.
- Mount the product to a wall stud to reduce the risk of tipping and allow maximum capacity.
- Distribute weight evenly from bottom up and store heaviest items on the lowest shelves. Do not use the top level as a shelf.
- Be aware of dynamic loading and do not exceed the 150 lb weight capacity of each shelf. Suddenly dropping a load on the shelf may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
- Maintain product labels and nameplates as they carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
Product Usage Instructions
- Read the entire Important Safety Information section in the user manual before setting up or using the product.
- Lay out all pieces and assemble the Storage Rack from bottom up.
- Insert one Foot (4) into each of the four corners of the bottom Shelf (1) by placing a block of wood (not provided) over it and using a mallet (sold separately) to tap the Foot until seated all the way in. Repeat for each Foot.
- Insert one Pole (2) into each of the four corners of a Shelf (1) by placing a block of wood over the end of the Pole and using a mallet to tap it until seated all the way in. Repeat for each corner.
- Attach the Top Cap (3) to the top of each Pole (2).
- Repeat steps 3-5 for each Shelf (1) until all four shelves are assembled.
- Mount the Storage Rack to a wall stud to reduce the risk of tipping and allow maximum capacity.
- Use the Storage Rack to store items, ensuring that weight is distributed evenly from bottom up and heaviest items are stored on the lowest shelves. Do not use the top level as a shelf.
- Inspect the Storage Rack before every use and do not use if parts are loose or damaged.

- Do not exceed 150 lb weight capacity of each Shelf. Be aware of dynamic loading! Suddenly dropping load on Shelf may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
- Distribute weight evenly from bottom up.
- Store heaviest items on lowest Shelves.
- Do not use top level as a Shelf.
- For every 5 degrees above 95°F, weight capacity decreases by 10%.
- Maintain product labels and nameplates. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.

This warranty does not apply to damage due directly or indirectly, to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, repairs or alterations outside our facilities, criminal activity, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or to lack of maintenance. We shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Assembly Instructions
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
- Lay out all pieces and assemble Storage Rack from bottom up.
- Insert one Foot (4) into each of the four corners of the bottom Shelf (1):
- Place the Shelf on the floor with bottom facing up. Insert Foot by placing a block of wood (not provided) over it and using a mallet (sold separately) to tap the Foot until seated all the way in. Repeat for each Foot.
- Insert one Pole (2) into each of the four corners of a Shelf (1):
- Place the Shelf top on the floor with bottom facing up. Insert Pole into corner by placing a block of wood over the end of the Pole and using a mallet to tap it until seated all the way in. Repeat for each corner.
- Connect Shelf assemblies together until the desired height is achieved:
- Place the bottom Shelf on the floor with top facing up. Place a Shelf with Poles on top and insert each of its Poles into the four corners of the Shelf below it. Place a block of wood over the corner of the Shelf and use a mallet to tap each Pole until seated all the way in. Repeat for each corner.
- Repeat for the next Shelf. Each Shelf must have each Pole tapped all the way in before adding another Shelf.
- Check that each Shelf is secure and level.
- Insert one Top Cap (3) into each of the four corners at the top of the Storage Rack.
- WARNING: TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: Mount to wall to reduce risk of tipping and allow maximum capacity.
- Place Storage Rack on a hard, level, flat, surface capable of supporting the weight of the product and its contents.
- Push the base of the Storage Rack all the way against the wall.
- Attach the top of the two columns to the wall using the two Mount Brackets (5).
- Use a Wall Mount Bracket (5) as a template to mark hole locations.
- WARNING: TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ELECRIC SHOCK: Verify the installation surface has no hidden utility lines before drilling or driving screws.
- Drill a pilot hole for the screw listed below into the stud.
- Attach Storage Rack to the wall using the two Wall Mount Brackets and hardware. Attach each Wall Mount Bracket with:
- One 0.185 inch diameter screw into a stud, and
- One 0.185 inch diameter screw using an anchor through drywall. (Hardware sold separately).
- Check that the Storage Rack is secure and flush against the wall, with all four feet flat on the floor.
- Remove the backing paper and apply the warning label firmly to a flat surface on the shelf closest to eye level.
- Do not exceed 150 lb weight capacity of each Shelf. Be aware of dynamic loading! Suddenly dropping load on Shelf may briefly create excess load causing product failure.
- Distribute weight evenly from bottom up.
- Store heaviest items on lowest Shelves.
- Do not use top level as a Shelf.
