Product Information
The 7 Piece Bi-Metal Hole Saw Set is a versatile tool used for cutting holes
in various materials such as wood, plastic, metal, and drywall.
The set includes seven saw sizes: 7/8″, 1″, 1-1/8″, 1-1/4″, and 1-1/2″.
The set also comes with an adapter with clamp washer and a pilot drill bit.
The Hole Saw blades are made of bi-metal for durability and longevity.
The product is designed for use with a drill (sold separately) and requires assembly before use. The set is equipped with sharp blades, so it is important to wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during setup and use.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the product, make sure to read the Owner’s Manual & Safety Instructions carefully. Keep the manual for future reference.
Setup
TO PREVENT INJURY:
Wear heavy-duty work gloves and ANSI-approved safety goggles during setup and
whenever handling the Hole Saws.
- Select the desired size Hole Saw.
- Thread Small Mandrel into Hole Saw securely.
- Use the Adapter to attach the Small Mandrel to medium size Hole Saws (such as a 1-1/2 size.) Carefully thread Adapter with Clamp Washer into Hole Saw and then thread the Small Mandrel through the bottom so that it screws into the Adapter.
- Adjust Small Mandrel position on Pilot Drill Bit. Tighten Set Screw.
- Open jaws of drill chuck (sold separately).
- Place the Pilot Drill Bit shaft completely into the chuck and securely tighten the chuck.
To prevent injury, wear heavy-duty work gloves and ANSI-approved safety goggles during setup and whenever handling the Hole Saws.
Operation
- 1. Holding the drill at 90° to the workpiece, set the Hole Saw on the workpiece.
- Press the drill’s trigger to turn it on.
- If the drill is a variable speed type, cut the workpiece slowly until a circle groove is made in the workpiece. Then cut faster.
- When the hole is cut, release the trigger and wait for the Hole Saw to come to a complete stop before removing it from the workpiece.
- When finished, remove the Hole Saw from drill’s chuck.
- Remove Hole Saw from the Mandrel and clean off Hole Saw with a cloth.
- Store the Hole Saws out of reach of children.
- Replace the Pilot Drill Bit if dull or broken. Make sure the Bit is securely held in place after being reinstalled.
Remember to inspect the product before every use and do not use if parts are loose or damaged. Store saw blades in a secure location away from children. Read and adhere to all safety warnings and operating instructions of the drill used with the Set.
