The KL9309 adapter terminal has 16 terminal points, which provide the I/Os of the KL85xx manual operating modules. In addition, 24 V DC is fed in via two terminal  points (1 x 0 V, 1 x 24 V). The terminal can be connected to the manual operating module via a shielded ZK8500-8282-70×0 signal cable (3…5 m) using a 20-pin contact strip  with locking. The KL9309 has a modular design and can be incorporated seamlessly on the DIN rail. K-bus communication is passed on by the terminal, but the  terminal itself is not visible to the K-bus and is therefore also not recognized by the bus coupler.
The 24 V and 0 V DC feed is passed on to the subsequent terminals on two power contacts. The 24 V DC feed is made available to the manual operating modules as a power supply via four contacts (2 x 0 V, 2 x 24 V) on the 20-pin contact strip.
