Instructions for Use

1. Press hold the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn on the Product. The first time the Product is switched, it will start up DAB mode. It will automatically scan for the available radio stations to fig.1. Wait for a few seconds, the display shows fig.2 .
   

2. When your Product is using power adapter, press POWER button to switch ‘on’ to fig.1. Wait for few seconds, the display shows fig.2
   

3. Press ‘▼’once to fig.3; or ‘▲’three times to fig.3. Then press SELECT button to fig.4.
   

4. Press ‘▼’three times to fig.5; or ‘▲’four times to fig.5. Then press SELECT button to fig.6.
   

5. Press ‘▼’or ‘▲’to fig.7. Then press SELECT button to confirm.

SAFETY

Before you use read the following safety instructions.

1. Read all the safety information and instructions before using the product. When passing this product to someone, include all documents.

2. If you do not follow the operating instructions provided, it may compromise the safety of your product and this may invalidate the warranty.

3. Do not expose the product to dripping or splashing .Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases ,on the product.

   • If liquid or water spills onto the product, switch it off immediately and contact your dealer.
   • If you are using a mains-powered adapter, do not touch the product with wet hands.

4. The internal battery in this product is not user replaceable .Do not expose the battery to excessive heat or naked flames. Ensure adequate ventilation and airflow around the product, particularly when charging.

5. Using the product in rooms or climates with high humidity and temperatures may cause condensation to form inside the product, which can damage the product. Use the product in moderate climates only.

6. Do not use your product in extremely hot or cold temperature. Keep the device away from heat sources, such as radiators or gas/electric fires. Do not expose your product to naked flames, such as lighted candles.

7. To charge your product ,only connect it to a supply source that meets the safety

8. Isolation requirements of EN 62368 or EN 60950-1 for an accessible safety extra low voltage circuit.
   For this connection, use either the supplied micro-USB cable or a suitably CE approved power adapter with the correct USB output rating.

9. Power the product using an external 5V DC 1 A power supply. The maximum output current is 1 A, protected by an internal circuit.

10. Before you charge your product, ensure that the available supply voltage corresponds with the required operation al voltage of the product.

11. Disconnect your product from the charging power supply if you will not use your product for a long period of time (for example, if you are going on holiday).

12. Always unplug your product from the charging power supply before cleaning. When cleaning the product, do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may damage the product’s surface.

13. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove any screws. The product does not contain any user-service able parts inside. Product repairs should

 To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods of time. Consistent exposure to high volumes when using headphones can damage your hearing. Always check the volume level before you insert headphones (not provided) into your ears. Use of headphones while operating a vehicle is not recommended and is illegal in some areas. If you find that listening to is distracting while operating any type of vehicle or performing an activity that requires your full attention, stop listening.

**CHARGING YOUR DAB

**

1. Connect the micro-USB cable to the micro-USB port

2.  Connect the other end of the micro-USB cable to a power outlet, using a USB power adapter. You can also charge the battery by connecting DAB to a computer’s USB port.

POWER BUTTON

Turn on POWER

1. Press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds. Turn on the DAB Digital Radio. The first time the DAB Digital Radio is switched, it will start up DAB mode. It will automatically scan for available radio stations to fig.1.

2. When your DAB Digital Radio is using power adapter, press POWER button to switch ‘on’ and ‘standby’ to fig.2. Unplug the power adapter to turn off  your Digital Radio completely.

3. When your DAB Digital Radio is using batteries, Press and hold the POWER Button for 2 seconds or switch ‘off’.

DAB/FM BUTTON

1. Switching to DAB/FM mode

2. The first time the DAB Digital Radio is switched, it will start up DAB mode.

3. If the DAB Digital Radio is in DAB mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until FM is shown on the display.

4. Once in FM mode, your DAB Digital Radio will tune to the start of the available FM range (87.50MHz) or the last FM station listed to fig.3. 3. To manually change the FM frequency, make sure that you have not selected any other sub-menus. Turn the Next ▲ /Previous ▼ to change the frequency by 0.05MHz.

CHANGING THE DAB DISPLAY INFORMATION

1. If the DAB Digital Radio is in DAB mode, Press MENU/INFO button to select different info to show on the display, such as DLS (Dynamic Label Segment), signal strength, PTY (Program me Type), ensemble, frequency, signal quality, bit rate codec, time, date. 2. If the DAB Digital Radio is in FM mode, press MENU/INFO button to select different info to show on the display, such as radio text, PTY (Program me Type), PS (Program me Service), stereo/mono, time, date. DAB MODE – CHOOSING MENU OPTIONS 1. If the DAB Digital Radio is in DAB mode, Press and hold MENU/INFO button to enter the menu list to fig.4. Press the Next / Previous button to select option through the list of menu. Then, stop at your preferred option and Push the SELECT button to confirm. The menu options are: full scan, manual tune, DRC, prune, system.

2. Full scan – under menu list, press the Next / Previous button to select “Full scan“ through the list of menu. Push SELECT button to confirm and full scan starts automatically to fig.4. Once a scan is completed, the radio returns to play the previously-selected station or first station on the station list. Note: if no radio station found, it shows “No DAB Station”. For a better reception, extend the antenna or do the full scan again in another place.

3. Manual tune – as well as the normal method of scanning, you can also manually tune to a particular channel/frequency. This can be useful for adjusting your antenna to achieve the best possible reception and scanning a particular channel to update the station list. Under menu list, press the Next / Previous button to select “Manual tune” through the list of menu, Push Select button to confirm. Then press the Next / Previous to select a particular channel/frequency and then Push SELECT button to confirm the setting to fig.5. The display shows a live indication of the received signal strength on the selected frequency. Adjustments to your antenna will be manifested in the received signal strength displayed.

4. DRC (Dynamic range compression) – this function reduces the difference between the loudest and quietest audio being broadcast. Effectively, this makes quiet sounds comparatively louder and loud sounds comparatively quieter. Options: off(default)/high/low Under menu list, press the Next / Previous Button to select “DRC” through the list of menu, Push ENTER button to confirm. Then press the Next / Previous Button to select a particular setting and Push SELECT button to confirm the setting to fig.6. Note: DRC only works if it is enabled by the broadcaster for a specific station.

5. Prune – this removes all invalid stations indicated in the station list with a ‘?’in front of the station name. Under menu list, press the Next/ Previous button to select “Prune” through the list of menu, Push SELECT button to confirm to fig.7. Then press the Next / Previous Button to select , and Push SELECT button to confirm

6. Time – if there are any DAB+ radio signal, the machine will automatically update the time, there is no signal, can also be set manually to fig.10. Set Time/Date: set hour / set minute / set month / set date>set year > saved Auto update options: update from Any / update from DAB / update from FM / no update
   Set 12/24 hour: 12hour/24hour Set date format: DD-MM-YYYY/MM-DD-YYYY Cycle through Time menu by Push the SELECT button, select a particular option, and Push the SELECT button changes.

7. Backlight – this radio display has a backlight which can be adjustable. You can select the time out of the display backlight of your radio. Under the system menu, press the Next / Previous Button button to select “Back light” through the list of menu, Push the SELECT button to confirm to ‘High’, ‘Medium’ or ‘Low’

8. Language – the language used for display messages can be selected from below options: English | Francis Under the system menu, press the Next / Previous Button to select “Language” through the list of menu, Push the SELECT button to confirm to fig.12. Cycle through Language menu by press the Next / Previous Button, select and stop at a particular language, Push the SELECT button to confirm.

9. Factory Reset – this function clears all user defined settings, replacing them with the original default values, so time/date, preferences/settings, DAB station list and preset stations are all lost. Under the system menu, press the Next / Previous Button to select “Factory Reset” through the list of menu, Push the SELECT button to confirm to fig.13. Then, use the Next / Previous Button to choose and Push the SELECT button to start the factory reset.

10.  Software version – this is used to display the current software version. Under the system menu, press the to Next / Previous Button select “Software version” through the list of menu fig.14, Push the SELECT button to confirm. Then, the existing SW version will be showed.
    

FM MODE – CHOOSING MENU OPTIONS

1. I f the DAB Digital Radio is in FM mode, press and hold MENU/ INFO button to enter the menu list to fig.15. Press the Next / Previous Button to select option through the list of menu. Then, stop at your preferred option and Push the SELECT button to confirm. The menu options are: scan setting, audio setting, system.

2. Scan setting – by default , FM scans stop at any available station (All stations).
   This may result in poor quality audio from weak stations. Options: Strong stations only / All stations Under menu list, press the Next / Previous button to select a particular option in “Scan setting”, then Push the SELECT button to confirm the change to new setting to fig.15.
   
   

3. Audio setting – by default, all stereo stations are reproduced in stereo. For weak stations, this may result in poor quality audio. The audio quality can be improved using mono. Options: Stereo allowed | Forced mono Under menu list, press the to Next / Previous button select a particular option in “Audio setting” to fig.16, then Push the SELECT button to confirm the change to new setting. It will automatically change to new setting after 3 seconds
   

PRESET BUTTON

Preset 20 DAB stations and 20 FM favorite stations

1. Store a station to the preset list – to store a station, selected your desired radio station, then press and hold the PRESET button for a seconds until the LCD display “Preset store #:(Empty)” to fig.17, or“#: saved radio station” to fig.18.

2. Either press the Next / Previous button to select your desired station preset number, Push on the SELECT button to confirm your selection, the display will show “Preset # Stored” to fig.19.

RECALL A STATION FROM THE PRESET LIST

1. To recall a preset station, press the “PRESET” button once, either rotate the Next
   / Previous button to select presets station that you have stored. When the display shows your desired preset number, push SELECT button to confirm.

Note : If you choose a preset that hasn’t been allocated a station, then “Empty” will be displayed.

TU+ / TU- BUTTON
Choosing radio stations or options

1.  If the DAB Digital Radio is in DAB mode, press Next / Previous button to cycle through the radio station list when you are listening. Or press Next / Previous button to cycle through the menu list for options.
2. If the DAB Digital Radio is in FM mode, press Next / Previous button to manual adjust the frequency by 0.05MHz. Or you can press and hold Next / Previous button to auto-scan station. Or press Next / Previous button to cycle through the menu list for options.

VOLUME +/- BUTTON
Adjusting the volume
Turn the Volume dial to increase or decrease the volume.

SETTING ALARMS AND TIMERS
You can set two alarms, which can tune to a radio station or sound atone.
Note : Alarms only sound when is switched on or in standby mode, and connected to a power supply. Alarms do not sound when is switched off.
Setting an alarm

1. Press hold the Menu Button for 2 seconds to view the main menu.
2. Turn and press the Next / Previous button to select ‘System ’ > ‘alarm’.
3. Press the Select button to change the ‘Alarm 1 wizard ’
4. Pressing the Next / Previous Button to adjust the hours and minutes, pressing Select to confirm each section.
5. Press the Select button select ‘Source’.
6. Press the Next / Previous button to select Buzzer’, ‘FM’ or ‘DAB’, then Press the Select Button to confirm.
7. If you’ve chosen ‘Digital Radio’ or ‘FM’ radio, Press the Next / Previous button to select ‘Preset’. To play the station you last listened to, turn and press the Select dial to select ‘Last listened’ or turn and press the Next / Previous button to choose a radio station from the preset list. Note: Skip this step if you are setting a Tone alarm.
8. Press the Next / Previous button to select ‘Daily’.’once’.’weekends ’or ’weekdays’. then Press the Select Button to confirm.
9. Press the Next / Previous button select ‘Volume’. Press the Select Button to confirm.
10. Turn and Press Select to turn ‘Alarm’ to ‘On’.
11. Turn and Press Select to turn ‘Alarm saved’.

SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER

1. Press hold the Menu Button for 2 seconds to view the main menu .
2. Turn and press the Next / Previous button to select ‘System’ > ‘Sleep’.
3. Turn and press the Next / Previous button to adjust the length of the sleep timer.

CANCELLING A SOUNDING ALARM
Press Standby to cancel any sounding alarm or press Source to cancel and leave the radio on.

SNOOZING A SOUNDING ALARM
To snooze a sounding alarm, press the Select/Snooze Button. The display will show a countdown timer to show how long the alarm will snooze for. To adjust the amount of time the alarm will be snoozed by, press the Continuous Select/Snooze Button to change the snooze duration in 5 minute intervals up to 15 minutes, and then 30 minutes. To cancel a snoozing alarm press the Standby button.

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is supplied with a mains adaptor/charger with BS1363 plug pins.
DO NOT use If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s mains adaptor/ charger plug pins. Attempts to insert the mains adaptor/charger into the wrong socket is likely to cause electric hazard or damage.
DO NOT use with any other mains transformer/charger than the one that is supplied with this product.

DISPOSAL

•  Dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons, plastic and plastic bags in accordance with your local recycling regulations.
• At the end of the product’s lifespan please dispose of it at an authorised household WEEE waste recycling center.
