Application (see the center spread)
Smoothies, i.e. fruit and vegetable cocktails, milk cocktails and fruit baby food can be prepared in the glass container of the mixer PRESIDENT or directly in the travel bottle.
Mixing in the glass container
Set the glass container with the connecting piece and mixing blades into the base and tighten by slightly rotating the glass container (1). The power indicator light will go on (2); the mixer is ready for use. Pour at least 200 ml of liquids into the glass container and add cut ingredients up to the 600 ml mark (3). Before putting fruit and vegetables into the mixer, peel and cut them into approx. 2 cm pieces, tough root vegetables etc. into approx. 1 cm pieces. Never mix food in the mixer without adding liquids (at least 200 ml liquids to 600 ml content). Do not use the appliance for preparing crushed ice, chopping meat, etc. Do not put ingredients heated to more than 50 °C into the glass container; do not use the container in the microwave oven. Set the lid onto the glass container. Press the mixing button; the indicator light will go on and the content of the container will begin to be mixed (4). Hold the mixer with your hand near the top of the container during the entire mixing process (5). Thirty to forty seconds are usually enough for mixing ingredients in the glass container. Press the mixing button again for ending the mixing process; the indicator light will go off and the mixer will stop. Remove the glass container from the base, remove the lid and pour the drink.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Do not leave the mixer to operate for more than 60 seconds at a time! The appliance will overheat and will switch off for safety reasons when repeatedly mixing for more than 60 seconds at a time. If this happens, disconnect the mixer from power, do not use it for 30 minutes, connect again and continue mixing.

To prepare drinks or children’s food with a high content of solid or creamy ingredients (e.g. root vegetables, pumpkins, nuts, yogurt, ice cream, etc.), use the pulse function while gradually adding ingredients. Pour at least 100 ml liquid into the glass container (lowest mark), insert cut ingredients up to the 300 ml mark (6) and put on the lid with closure. Repeatedly briefl y hold and release the pulse switch until the content is mixed.
Adding liquids and ingredients in the pulse mode
Remove the transparent closure from the lid by slightly rotating it and add liquids and cut ingredients into the glass container through the opening (7).
Mixing in the travel bottle
Fruit and vegetable cocktails (smoothies) can be prepared directly in the bottle. Unscrew the closure from the travel bottle, pour 200 ml liquid into the bottle and add cut ingredients up to the 600 ml mark (8). Unscrew the connecting piece with mixing blades from the glass container and screw them onto the travel bottle so that the mixing blades are inside the bottle (9). Set the bottle into the base and tighten by rotating the bottle (10). Proceed in the same way as when mixing in the glass container; use the pulse function when needed. The travel bottle can be kept in the refrigerator. Do not fi ll the travel bottle with liquids and ingredients heated to more than 50 °C; do not use it in the microwave oven. For spare Smoothie bottle PRESIDENT 0.6 l (art. 909032), contact your retailer or go to www.tescoma.com.
