Welcome to use V12 Smart Translator. We recommend you to read the manual carefully before using the translator.
Before using the translator, please follow these steps:

1. Please check the accessories in the package first.
   Package Content: 1Translator 1Charging cable 1*Manual
   The initialization of the device may take some time, please wait for a moment.

2. Please try to make sure that you can use it in an environment with internet, or you can use the offline translation function if there is no internet.

WLAN

You need to connect to the wireless network after the device is turned on.
Configure the wireless network through the menu “Settings” – “WLAN”, turn on the wireless network switch on the settings page, select the wireless network you want to connect to, and enter the correct password to connect.

Charge

When the device is in low-power state, the battery icon on the Status Bar will turn into an obvious low-power state as well. During the low-power state, some function of the device may not work properly. When the battery power is lower than the set standard, the device will automatically shut down, the device will automatically shut down to protect the data. To boot up again require sufficient charging.
When charging the device in the off state, the screen will display a large battery charging sign, a battery percentage icon and an indicator light for about 8-10 seconds;
When charging the device in the power on state, the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen has “lightning” and green progress bar signs and indicator light prompts;
After charging, the icon of full load battery capacity will be displayed.

Key Function Introduction：

On/ off button: short press to lock screen / unlock screen, long press to power on / off
Translation A and B keys: After opening the homepage, long press to enter the voice recognition state.
Return button: return to the previous page.
Charging port: Charging
Power on and off
Power On: Long press the on/off Button until the screen is on.
Power off: Long press the on/off Button until a dialog prompted, select “Power off” to power of the device.
Switching the screen on/off
Turning the screen off or on manually.
・Press the on/off button to turn the screen on or off
Turning the screen off automatically.
If the device is not operated during the default system standby time, the device will automatically turn off the screen, and a short press of the On/Off key will light up the screen.
Homepage
The homepage of the device is the main function entrance of the device, the core functions: translation, recording, input translation, photo translation etc. Click on it to enter the corresponding function page.
Status bar
Displays some status information about the device at the top of the device screen.
For WIFI network status, Bluetooth, battery status.

Main function introduction:

Online translation/offline translation.
The translation function has two states: online translation and offline translation, which will automatically switch depending on the current state of the translator.
Online translation currently supports real-time translation between 109 languages (subject to change with version updates).
Offline translation currently supports 13 popular languages for offline translation (subject to change with version updates). When the translator is
offline, the translation automatically switches to offline translation. (You need to download the offline package in the settings in advance)
Click on the language option at the top of the translation page to enter the language selection page and select the source/target language as required.
Voice recognition.
Press and hold the Translate A or B button on the device to enter the voice recognition mode.
After releasing the A or B button, the voice will be automatically recognized and translated into the specified target language. If automatic voice announcement is switched on in the settings, the translated target language is played back automatically.
List shows text records of voice translation, when there are too many translation records, swipe up and down the page to view the translation records

Favorites：

Long press the translation result to pop up the option, and click the “favorites” option. Swipe right on the translation interface to enter the “favorites” page, you can view the favorite record, click the voice prompt on the favorite page, and long press to cancel the favorite. Note: At present, the maximum number of translation results that can be saved is 50.

Audio translation：

Language selection: The recording function supports recording recognition of 3 (Mandarin, Cantonese and English) mainstream languages and supports
transcription of 108 translated texts (subject to change with version updates).
Click on the language option at the top of the recording screen to enter the language selection list, then click on the desired source language/target language.
Recording recognition: Tap on the ‘microphone’ icon at the bottom of the recording screen to start recording. The source language set is automatically recognized during the recording process and the recognized text is displayed on the page. Click on the icon “ ” at the top right to switch between viewing the source language and the target translated text. Save recording results: click on the stop icon directly below during recording to bring up a confirmation box for the save operation, click to confirm and the recording file will be saved automatically. Click on the top right corner “ ” toenter the recording list for viewing. 1 hour recording time is supported.

Photo translation：

The translator currently supports photo translation in 43 languages. Click on the language option at the top of the photo translation interface to enter the language selection list, and then click on the desired source language/target language option.
Take a photo to translate: Tap the screen to focus on the text you want to translate, then tap the photo button at the bottom of the screen. The translation result will be displayed after recognition.

Group mutual Translation Join into group chatting:

Create a multi-person chat. (Applicable only if the device has not join any existing one yet)
Click on the ‘Create’ icon on the multiplayer chat page.
Enter the chat ID of the user device to be chatted with and click “Confirm”. Click on the “Finish” button to complete the creation.
Invite to join a group chat: On the multiplayer chat page, click the button “ ” on the top right and select the “Add Member” option. Enter the chat ID of the user’s device you need to join, then click “Confirm” to complete the invitation. Chat translation: Press and hold the Translate A or B button to enter voice recognition mode, use the source language you have set in the system as input, speak and then release the A or B button to send automatically. Messages received from other users will be automatically translated into the source language set in the system. For example, users in China can set the language to Chinese and speak Chinese when chatting. Messages received from members of other countries in the group will be automatically translated into Chinese and broadcast automatically. You can also set manual click to broadcast in the settings.
Member Management: On the Multiplayer Chat page, click the button “ ” on the top right and select the “Member Management” option. Click on “drop out” to exit the group. Click the Delete button next to a member to delete the specified member.

Settings：

Sound adjustment: You can adjust the sound level by sliding down the screen to adjust the sound progress bar.

Brightness adjustment: You can adjust the brightness of the screen by sliding down the screen to adjust the brightness progress bar.

WLAN: Configure the device’s WLAN network.

Bluetooth: Can be used with Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth speakers.

Sleep: you can choose between 30s, 1 minute, 3 minutes and never sleep.

Language: supports setting 13 system menu languages.

Date & time: Set or change the time and time zone.

Mode: You can choose between automatic and operation broadcast mode, if you choose operation broadcast mode, you need to click manually to broadcast the translation results.

Note: The above settings are not valid for translation history results, only for the next translation results.

Reset: restores the device to its original state. (Delete all user data on the device, please be careful with this operation)

Firmware update: Check the version information and update.

Storage: Check the storage space information.

Offline package management: Download or delete the required offline translation data.

About us: IMEI number, serial number, version and model information.
