Product Information

The IX-DVF-PR is a video door station that belongs to the IX Series and comes with a built-in AC-PROX-1G proximity card reader. The card reader uses a standard Wiegand interface to connect to a compatible access control system. It features a camera, a microphone, a white LED for low light illumination, a speaker, a function indicator, a call button, and a card reader. The package contents include the IX-DVF-PR Door Station, Security Driver, Flush mount backbox and tamper-resistant screws.

Product Usage Instructions

To install the IX-DVF-PR, you can either flush mount it or surface mount it using the SBX-IDVFRA surface mount box. If you choose to flush mount it, recess the supplied back box into the wall, then attach the mounting bracket using the four provided bracket screws. If you choose to surface mount it, use the SBX-IDVFRA surface mount box that can mount to a standard single-gang box or to any flat surface.
To configure the IX-DVF-PR, use the IX Support Tool or IXG Support Tool and refer to the appropriate Quick Start Programming Guide for instructions.

To wire the IX-DVF-PR, connect the reader to the access control host according to the host’s installation guide. Use the Wiegand Wiring with the following function and color coding:

  • Red: 5 ~ 16V DC
  • Black: Ground
  • Green: Data 0
  • White: Data 1
  • Brown: Red LED
  • Orange: Green LED
  • Yellow: Card Present Beeper
  • Blue: fleaPower
  • Violet: Shield Ground

For regulatory compliance, disconnect the drain wire at the power supply end of the cable. The IX-DVF-PR comes with an FCC warning that states it complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules and any changes or modifications not approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Installation and Configuration

  • IX-DVF-PR Dimensions: 11-11/16″ H x 7″ W x 1-15/16″ D Back Box Dimensions: 10-7/16″ H x 5-13/16″ W x 2-3/8″ D
  • For flush mounting, recess the supplied back box into the wall, then attach the mounting bracket using the four provided bracket screws.
  • For surface mounting, use the SBX-IDVFRA surface mount box. This box can mount to a standard single-gang box or to any flat surface.
  • The IX-DVF-PR is configured as an IX-DVF door station using the IX Support Tool or IXG Support Tool. Refer to the appropriate Quick Start Programming Guide for instructions.
