Krypton Rechargeable Floodlights

Safety Warning
- The installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Prior to installation, carry out the necessary risk assessment considering the people who could be at risk, the level of risk and the precautions required to control the risk Ensure that the circuit supply is isolated either by the circuit supply fuse being removed or the applicable circuit breaker being turned off before installation or any maintenance.
- Check the total load on the circuit ensuring the luminaire does not exceed the rating of the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker.
- Long-term use and voltage fluctuations can reduce the life span of the fitting.
- If the fitting incorporates control gear, ensure careful sizing to avoid instances of nuisance tripping of the protective device used in the installation.
- Follow the provided installation instructions, using the fixings supplied or recommended.
- Keep out of reach of children.

Notes
- Do not place objects within 0.5m of the front of the luminiare.
- Contact your local retailer or wholesaler if the protective screen is cracked or broken.
- Never stare at the LED beam in your Floodlight.
- Do not use the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight near oncoming traffic, or in any place where the power of the Floodlight could cause accidents, exwhen using SOS function.
- The screen and Floodlight body may become slightly hot. Do not touch them and never allow contact with flammable materials.
- Do not modify the mechanical or electrical construction of the Floodlight.
Warning
- The battery pack on this Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight is in a low charge state. You must charge the battery pack before using the Floodlight for the first time.
- Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is badly damaged or if it no longer charges. The battery pack can explode when in contact with fire.
- A small leak of fluid from the battery may occur under extreme temperature or use conditions. However, if the outer seal is cracked and the leak contacts your skin, wash the affected area immediately. If the liquid gets in your eyes, rinse your eyes with clean water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical advice immediately.
- Never try to open the battery pack for any reason. If the housing of the battery pack shakes or cracks and opens, stop using it immediately and do not recharge it.
- Do not subject the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight to impacts or to violent shocks.
- Do not open the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight or modify its components – do not expose it to water, salt water or humidity.
- Do not place the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight near fireplaces or in a high temperature environment.
- Do not place the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight directly under sunlight or store it inside vehicles in hot weather, otherwise the battery may generate heat, rupture or ignite. Using the device in this way may result in a loss of performance and shorten its life.
- Protect the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight against humidity. The device should not be wet or used in a humid environment.
- Always store the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight in a dry place.
- If you store the Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight without using it, store it in a room with an ambient temperature between 15°C and 25°C, charged at 50%. If you store it for a very long time, fully charge the battery once every 6 months to avoid reducing its charging capacity.
How to Charge the Battery
The Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight has a built-in lithium-ion battery. Fully charge the battery before using the Floodlight for the first time.
- The charging time depends on your adaptor current. Normally, it takes 5-6 hours to reach a fully charged state.
- A red indicator will light up and turn green as soon as the battery is fully charged.
- We recommend that you unplug your charger as soon as charging is complete (green indicator light on).
- For optimum battery life, it is best to store the device only after charging it.
Note: When recharging for the first time or after long term storage, the
battery will only accept 60% discharge. After several charging and discharging
phases, the battery will accept 100% charge.
It is recommended to recharge the battery at least once every 6 months in
order to prolong the life of the battery.
How to Use Krypton

The switch on the base of each Krypton Rechargeable Floodlight is multi-functional, with 4 settings.

Press the switch to turn on the Floodlight. It will turn on at 100% power. Pressing the switch 2, 3 or 4 times changes the function as follows:
1 Press = 100% Output – Approx 4 hours run time between charges
2 Presses = 60% Output – Approx 9 hours run time between charges
3 Presses = 20% Output – Approx 12 hours run time between charges
4 Presses = SOS Emergency function – flashing amber light -
To turn off, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds.

The switch also has a memory function. When turned back on, the Floodlight reverts to the previous setting used.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
The guarantee is invalid in the case of improper use, tampering, removal of
the Q.C.
date label, installation in an improper working environment or installation
not according to the current edition of the I.E.E. Wiring Regulations
(BS7671). The guarantee is also invalidated if the luminaire has been
insulation tested. Should this product fail during the guarantee period it
will be replaced free of charge, subject to correct installation and return of
the faulty unit. We do not accept responsibility for any installation costs
associated with the replacement of this product. Your statutory rights are not
affected. We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
Maintenance

This fitting will require routine cleaning if used in adverse (dust, paint, welding, oils etc) environments. Do not use solvents, aggressive detergents or abrasives.

The light source & driver in this luminaire are not replaceable. When the fitting comes to the end of it’s life or you choose to replace it, please do not dispose of it with your normal waste. Please recycle where the facilities exist, check with your local authority for suitable options.
