FOOD CHOPPER RDE-1800
The Food chopper is used to chop meat, onion, savoury herbs, garlic, vegetables, fruit and ice.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Before using the unit, thoroughly read through this instruction manual and keep it for future reference.
Use the unit for its intended purpose only, as specified in this manual.
Mishandling the unit may lead to its breakdown, cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

  • Before connecting the unit to the mains, make sure that the voltage specified on the unit corresponds to your home mains voltage.
  • When chopping products in the bowl, the duration of continuous operation of the Food chopper should not exceed 10 seconds. To achieve finer chopping, use the device with 10-second pauses.
  • The device is designed for use exclusively at home and is not intended for outdoor use.
  • Use only the accessories supplied with the unit.
  • Before using the unit for the first time, thoroughly wash all the removable parts that will contact food.
  • Before using the unit, make sure that all parts are set properly.
  • Place the Food chopper bowl on a flat stable surface and use the non-slip base.
  • Products should be put into the Food chopper bowl before the unit is switched on.
  • Do not overfill the Food chopper bowl with products and watch the level of poured liquids.
  • The blades of the chopping knives are very sharp and can be dangerous. Handle the knife very carefully!
  • If rotation of the chopping knives is hindered, unplug the unit and carefully remove products that prevent blade rotation.
  • It is forbidden to remove the lid from the bowl until the rotation of the knives has completely stopped.
  • Remove products and pour out liquids from the bowl only after complete stop of the knives.
  • Never leave the unit connected to the mains unattended. Always unplug the unit before cleaning or if you do not use it.
  • Do not use the unit near hot surfaces (such as gas or elec-tric stove, oven).
  • Provide that the power cord does not touch sharp edges of furniture and hot surfaces.
  • Unplug the unit by taking the power plug directly. Do not pull the power cord and do not twist it.
  • Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged.
  • Do not touch the motor unit body, the power cord or the power plug with wet hands.
  • Do not allow children to touch the unit body and the power cord during the unit operation.
  • This unit is not intended to be used by children.
  • The unit is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with any physical, sensory or mental disabilities or by persons lacking life experience or knowledge if they are not under supervision of a person responsible for their safety or if they are not instructed by this person on the usage of the unit.
  • Do not leave children unattended to avoid them using the unit as a toy.
  • For child safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags used as packaging unattended.

Attention! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!

  • Never pull the power cord when disconnecting the unit from the mains, take the power plug and carefully pull it out of the mains socket.
  • Never use the unit if the power cord or the power plug is damaged, if the unit works improperly or after it was dropped.
  • To avoid risk of electric shock or fire, do not immerse the unit body, the power cord and the power plug into water or any other liquids. If the unit is dropped into water:
    • do not touch the water;
    • unplug the unit immediately, only after that you may take the unit out of water;
    • apply to an authorized service center for testing or repairing the unit.
  • Do not repair the unit by yourself. Do not disassemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after the unit was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center from the contact address list given in the warranty certificate and on the website www.rondell.ru
  • Transport the unit in the original packaging only.
  • Keep the unit out of reach of children and people with disabilities.

THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. ITS COMMERCIAL USAGE AND USAGE IN PRODUCTION AREAS AND WORK AREAS IS PROHIBITED.

PREPARATION FOR OPERATION

After unit transportation or storage under cold (winter) conditions, it is necessary to keep it for at least three hours at room temperature.

  • Unpack the unit and remove any stickers that can pre-vent unit operation.

  • Make sure that operating voltage specified on the unit corresponds to your home mains voltage.

  • Before using the unit, wash all removable parts with warm water and neutral detergent: bowl lid (3), rotary knife (4), bowl (5) and base (6). Rinse the parts and dry them.
    Notes: You can wash the bowl (5), the rotary knife (4) and bowl lid (3) in a dish-washing machine.

  • Clean the motor unit (2) with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.

Attention! Do not immerse the motor unit (2), power cord and power code plug into water or any other liquids.

USING THE FOOD CHOPPER

Before you start chopping:

  • cut meat, cheese, onion, vegetables and fruit into cubes not more than 2×2 cm in size;
  • remove stems of herbs, shell nuts;
  • remove bones, sinews and cartilage from meat.

Chopping of products
Be careful: the blades are very sharp! Always hold the rotary knife by the upper plastic shank.

  • Place the base (6) on the flat stable surface and put the bowl (5) on it.
  • Install the rotary knife (4) on the axis of the bowl (Fig. 1).
  • Put the pre-cut products into the bowl (5).

Notes:

  • Do not switch the unit on without food in the bowl (5).
  • Do not exceed the «600 ml» mark when loading products or pouring liquids in.

WARNING: do not pour hot ingredients into the bowl.

  • Install the lid (3) on the bowl (5) (Fig. 2).
  • Install the motor block (2) on the bowl (5). Slightly turn the motor unit (2) around its axis. If the motor unit is installed properly, it will not turn around its axis.
  • Insert the power plug into the electrical outlet.
  • To switch the device on, press and hold the power button on the control panel (1). Press the button (1.1) to grind soft food, press the button (1.2) to grind solid food.

Notes:

  • If the motor unit (2) is incorrectly installed on the bowl (5), the device will not be switched on.
  • When processing solid products (for example, car-rots), use the pulse mode of operation (switch the Food chopper on for a few seconds, release the power but-ton on the control panel (1), make a pause and switch the Food chopper on again). If food processing is hindered or the food level is below the knives’ cutting edges, add some water.
  • During operation, press the button on the control panel (1) on the motor unit (2) with one hand, hold the bowl (5) with the other hand.
  • After using the Food chopper wait for the rotary knife (4) to stop completely.
  • Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet.
  • Remove the motor unit (2) from the bowl lid (3).
  • Remove the lid (3) from the bowl (5).
  • Carefully remove the rotary knife (4).
  • Take the chopped products out of the bowl (5).

Attention!

  • Strictly follow the described sequence of operations.
  • Hold the rotary knife (4) only by the plastic shank.
  • The maximum duration of one operation cycle is 10 seconds, take a break of at least 10 seconds between operation cycles.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION! The cutting blades of the rotary knife are very sharp and dangerous. Handle the knives very carefully!

  • Unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Remove the motor unit (2) from the bowl (5).
  • Wash the removable parts in warm soapy water, rinse and dry them.
  • Clean the motor unit (2) with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
  • After processing salty or sour products, rinse the chopping knife (4) with water immediately.
  • While possessing products with strong dyeing properties (for instance, carrot or beetroot), plastic parts can get col-ored, wipe them with a cloth dampened in vegetable oil, after that wash the parts with water and neutral detergent and dry them.

DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR UNIT (2) INTO ANY LIQUIDS; DO NOT WASH IT UNDER RUNNING WATER OR IN A DISH-WASHING MACHINE.

TROUBLESHOOTING

For environment protection do not throw out the unit and the batteries (if included), do not discard the unit and the batteries with usual household waste after the service life expiration; apply to specialized centers for further recycling.
The waste generated during the disposal of the unit is subject to mandatory collection and consequent disposal in the pre-scribed manner.
For further information about recycling of this product apply to a local municipal administration, a disposal service or to the shop where you purchased this product.
Unit operating life is 3 years

Details regarding guarantee conditions can be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. The bill of sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim under the terms of this guarantee.

This product conforms to the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and to the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.

Guarantee service conditions

  1. The guarantee is valid if the following issuance conditions are observed:
    • correct and precise filling in the original RÖNDELL warranty card with mentioning model name, its serial number, date of sale, with seal of Seller and signature of Seller’s representative in the warranty card, seals on each tear-off coupon, Buyer’s signature;
    The manufacturer retains the right to refuse guarantee service in case of failure to submit the above-mentioned documents, or if the information they contain is incomplete, illegible or contradictory.

  2. The guarantee is valid if the following operating conditions are observed:

    • the device is used in strict accordance with the operating instructions;
    • the safety rules and requirements are observed.
  3. Warranty does not include periodic maintenance, cleaning, installation, adjustment of device at the owner’s home, as well as natural device wear and tear.

  4. Cases not covered by the guarantee:

    • mechanical impairments;

    • non-observance of operating conditions or faulty action of the owner;

    • incorrect installation or transportation;

    • natural hazards (lightning, fire, flooding etc.), as well as other causes beyond the control of the seller and manufac-turer;

    • penetration of external objects, liquids or insects into the device;

    • repair work or structural alterations carried out by unauthorised persons;

    • use of the device for professional purposes (whereby the load exceeds the domestic application level);

    • connection of the device to power supply, telecommunication and cable-based networks incompatible with the State Technical Standards;

    • cleaning of audio heads, different media readout drives

    • breakdown of the accessories of the unit listed below, if their replacement is specified by the construction and does not require disassembly of the unit:
      а) the remote control, the accumulator batteries, batteries, external power blocks and charging devices;
      b) the consumable products and accessories (packing, cases, belts, bags, grids, blades, flasks, plates, supports, racks, roasting racks, hoses, tubes, brushes, attachments, dust containers, filters, odor absorbers).

    • for battery-operated devices: use of incompatible or discharged batteries, or any impairments caused by dis-charged or leaky batteries (we recommend to use only high-quality batteries);

    • for battery powered devices – any damages coursed by battery charging and recharging rules violation.

    • for shavers: crumpled or ruptured safety mesh;

  5. This guarantee is provided by the manufacturer in addition to the customer’s rights, stipulated by the current legisla-tion, and does not restrict them.

  6. The manufacturer is not responsible for possible harm, caused directly or indirectly by «RÖNDELL» products to people, pets, consumer’s property and/or other third parties in case if it has happened due to violation of rules and operating conditions, installation of the unit; intended and/or careless actions (inactions) of a consumer and/or other third parties, the effect of force majeure circumstances.
