  • Fireplaces and stoves must be cold with doors closed (cover ashes).
  • Close and lock outside doors and windows so they don’t open during the test.
  • Open all interior doors leading to conditioned spaces.

Conduct Depressurization test, (CFM@-50):

  • Ensure range matches on DM32X & the fan.

  • Tap on the [Bias] button & tap the red record button. After 20 seconds on a calm day or 60 seconds on a windy day, tap the same button to end the capture Save the log when prompted. Tap “Enable,” then return to the Home screen.

  • If only one DM32X is being used for the whole test, disconnect Speed Control Cable, turn knob to zero then adjust until pressure is about 50 Pa. If two DM32X gauges are being used, skip this step & use the 2nd gauge on the Pressure Pan.

  • On the Blower Door gauge, tap [Set Pressure] [SO] [Set] to calculate what the flow would be at exactly 50 Pa
Cannot achieve test pressure at full speed?

  • If fan reached 100% speed but could not achieve -50 Pa:
    • If possible, use Range with larger opening to get more flow &try again
    • Change [Range] on the gauge to match.
    • Readjust Fan Speed

  • Leave the blower door depressurization test @ -50Pa running in order to perform the Pressure Pan Test

Setup Pressure Pan & DM32X Gauge

  • Plug one end of the blue tubing into the Pressure Pan.
  • To test penetrations in a ceiling, connect Pressure Pan to a painter’s pole
  • Plug the other end of the blue tubing into the OM32X at the blue port
  • Graphical user interface, application

Take Pressure Pan Reading

  • With the blower door still running @-50Pa, take your reading with your Pressure Pan.
  • Place the Pressure Pan over the penetration being tested. Ensure the Pressure Pan is sealed securely around the opening with no gaps
  • Readings on [Channel A] is the pressure differential between the inside of the Pressure Pan & the interior space of the house. A higher reading indicates higher leakage
