Battery selection
We recommend using only high quality batteries. Low quality batteries can cause off-gassing and damage to the internal electronics. The light is fitted with an overpressure valve for your safety. In case the battery produces gas leading to a high internal pressure of the light, the valve will open. This may cause water to enter the light.
WARNING
Do not look directly into the light, or direct the light into the eyes of
others. Do not alter or modify the dive light. If modification causes water
entry or other malfunctions, the warranty will be void.
- Proper storage : if the dive light is not to be used for a long period of time, remove batteries to avoid accidental leakage.
- Proper maintenance : frequent use of the dive light may cause O-rings to dry out. To avoid leakage, clean O-ring groove with a cotton swab and regularly apply lubricant to O-rings to help prevent dry cracking. Please rinse the Nova 1000R WIDE with fresh water before storing.
