General Information

Overview

The industrial high bay sensor is an integral part of the WaveLinx Lite system and offer passive infrared (PIR) occupancy and a photocell for closed loop daylighting. WaveLinx Lite industrial sensors offer installation heights up to 40 feet and have coverage patterns up to 5000 square feet (see sensor specifications – field of view). When part of the WaveLinx Lite system, the sensor operates on a wireless mesh network based on IEEE 802.15.1 standards.
The sensors offer simple tool-less integration into WaveLinx Lite industrial light fixtures equipped with the 4-pin Zhaga Book 18 compliant socket. Once installed, sensors receive power from their co-located light fixture with no batteries to replace. The sensor in combination with the WaveLinx Lite Mobile application allows you to gain considerable energy savings from occupancy and daylight sensing lighting control.
The WaveLinx Lite Mobile application allows you to map the sensor to any area or control zone, select occupancy or vacancy, occupied and unoccupied light levels and set the hold time.

Installation

Out-of-the-box functionality (if connected to loads)

Fixture operates via the onboard occupancy sensor.

  • Occupancy turns fixture ON to 100%
  • Fixture will dim to 10% within 20 minutes when space is vacant

Wireless setup

  1. Upon power up, the WaveLinx Lite Industrial Sidecar Sensor Kit will power connected luminaires to 100% when occupied.
  2. When the WaveLinx Lite Industrial Sidecar Sensor Kit is provisioned to a WaveLinx Lite wireless network, the connected luminaires will dim to 10% (DEFAULT) (if using 0-10V wiring)
  3. This feature is used to visually inspect which sensors successfully join the wireless network.
  4. Industrial sidecar sensors that did not pair correctly will remain at 100%.
  5. When the provisioning is complete all industrial sidecar sensors become part of the default (or any if others are added) zone and default (or any if others are added) occupancy set.
Note : Please refer to WaveLinx Lite manual to complete configuration.
