Product Information
The OPENEAR AS18 X2 is a bone conduction headphone that comes with a user manual, earplugs, pouch, charging cable, and one-button control. It has a BT version of 5.2 and provides a wireless connection of up to 10m/33 feet. The headphone has a 180mAh battery that provides playtime of up to 8 hours and takes 1.5 hours to charge with DC 5V charging voltage. The headphone has a BT/MP3 mode switch, and you can switch the mode by double-clicking the MFB button. The headphone has a charging port, a volume up/down button, and supports voice commands.
Product Usage Instructions
How to Wear: To wear the headphone, place it on your head and position it behind your ears.
Power On/Off: To turn on the headphone, press and hold the MFB button for 3 seconds until you hear a prompt “power on.” To turn off the headphone, press and hold the MFB button for 3 seconds until you hear a prompt “power off.”
BT Connection: The headphone enters BT mode automatically when powered
on. To connect the headphone, select “AS18 X2” in the BT menu, and you will
hear a prompt
“connected.”
Data Transfer: To transfer audio files, download the files into your
computer, attach the headphone to the USB charging cable, connect the USB
cable to a computer USB port,
and drag and drop the files into the hard drive folder. Eject the hard drive
after file transfer is complete.
Play/Pause Music: To play/pause music, click once on the MFB button.
Previous/Next Track: To play the previous
track, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. To play the next track, press
and hold the button “+” for 3 seconds.
Volume Up/Down: To increase the volume, click once on the volume up button. To decrease the volume, click once on the volume down button.
Answer/End/Reject A Call: To answer/end a call, click once on the MFB button. To reject a call, double-click on the MFB button.
Activate Voice Command: To activate voice command, quickly triple-click on the MFB button.
Charge: Use a DC 5V adapter to charge the headphone. The green LED is on during charging, and the white LED is on after fully charged.
Restore Factory Settings: To restore the factory settings, hold and press the MFB button for 10 seconds until the second time white and green LEDs flash.
Attention
- Listening to loud music for a long time may cause discomfort. Use medium volume if possible and avoid using high volume for long periods of time.
- Using headphones will affect your perception of the surrounding environment. Pay more attention when using headphones.
- The headphone has been treated against corrosion, but it is recommended to clean it after soaking it in seawater.

Button Control
Power On/Off
- Power On: press & hold the MFB for 3 sec, prompt: power on;
- Power Off: press & hold the MFB for 3 sec, prompt: power off;
BT Connection
The headset enters BT mode automatically when power-on. Select “AS18 X2” in
the BT menu to connect, and prompt: connected
Switch BT/MP3 mode
Under the power-on state, double-click the MFB to switch to BT/MP3 mode.
Data Transfer
- Download the audio files (mp3,wav formats only) into your computer.
- attach the headset to the USB charging cable.
- Connect the USB cable to a computer’s USB port.
- You could see a hard drive on your computer and open it.
- Drag and drop the files into the hard drive folder.
- Eject the hard drive after the file transfer is complete.
Play/Pause Music
Click once the MFB.
Previous/Next Track
Previous Track: press and hold the button -for 3 sec.
Next Track: press and hold the button + for 3 sec.
Volume Up/Down
Volume Up: click once the button .+Volume Down: click once the button .
Answer/End/Reject A Call
Answer/End A Call: click once the MFB. Reject A Call: double click the MFB.
Activate Voice Command
Quickly triple-click the MFB.
Charge
Please use a DC 5V adapter for charging. The green LED is on during charging.
The white LED is on after fully charged.
Low Battery
The battery is lower than 5%, prompt: battery low.
Restore Factory Settings
Under the power-off state, hold & press the MFB for 10 sec until the second
time white and green LEDs flash.
Attention
- Listening to loud music for a long time may cause discomfort, please use medium volume if possible. Do not use high volume for long periods of time.
- Using headphones will affect your perception of the surrounding environment. Pay more attention when using headphones.
- Do not remove or modify the headphone, as this may cause damage or burnout.
- Do not throw, twist on headphones or put them into a fire.
- Keep it away from fire, hydration, and high-pressure equipment.
- Not suitable for children under 10 years old and contains small parts.
- Do not classify it as household waste. Please send it to the local electrical equipment recycling station.
- When using the headset, do not exceed a depth of 2 meters underwater. It can be used in freshwater, tap water, swimming pool water, seawater, etc. It cannot be used in soapy water, body wash, shampoo, or high temperature and high humidity environments.
- The charging pole piece has been treated for anti-corrosion, but the seawater is highly corrosive. It is recommended to clean it in time after soaking it in seawater.
