MT-120 MB Turntable Micro System

MT-120 MB

MT-120 MB is a turntable micro system that allows you to play vinyl records, CDs, USB, and aux-in sources. It also features
Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to encode music from different sources to USB. The device comes with a user manual that provides detailed instructions on how to use it.

Product Usage Instructions

Speaker Connection
First, connect the speaker wires to the speaker terminals on the back of the device. Make sure to connect the left speaker wire to the left terminal and the right speaker wire to the right terminal.

Power On/Off
Turn on the device by switching on the POWER ON/OFF switch (19).

Function Selection
Choose the desired function by pressing the FUNCTION button (5) repeatedly until the desired function is displayed on the screen.
The available functions are Vinyl, CD, USB, Aux-In, and Bluetooth.

Playing Vinyl Records
To play vinyl records, select the Vinyl function and place the record on the turntable platter (24). Select the desired speed using the SPEED SELECTOR (25) and gently move the tone arm (26) to the edge of the record to start playing.

Playing CDs
To play CDs, select the CD function and press the OPEN/CLOSE button (13) to open the disc tray. Place the CD on the tray and press the button again to close it. Use the /P- and /P+ buttons (6 and 7) to select tracks and press PLAY/PAUSE button (8) to start playing.

Playing USB
To play music from a USB device, select the USB function and connect the device to the USB port (2). Use the /P- and /P+ buttons (6 and 7) to select tracks and press PLAY/PAUSE button (8) to start playing.

Playing Aux-In
To play music from an external device, such as a phone or MP3 player, connect it to the AUX IN jack (17) using an audio cable.
Select the Aux-In function and start playing the music on the external device.

Bluetooth Connection
To connect a Bluetooth device, select the Bluetooth function and turn on the Bluetooth on your device. Search for available devices and select “MT-120 MB” to pair them. If prompted, enter the passcode “0000”. Once connected, you can play music from your Bluetooth device.

Encoding Music
The device allows you to encode music from different sources to USB. To do this, connect the USB device to the USB port (2) and select the desired encoding source (Vinyl, CD, FM, or Bluetooth).
Press the REC button (10) to start encoding. Use the / button (6) to select ONE or ALL track encoding mode.

Troubleshooting

SPEAKER CONNECTION

1. Insert the speaker cables by pushing down the terminal lever of the Left Speaker Terminal and the Right Speaker Terminal.
2. Connect the speaker to Speaker Terminals, with BLACK wire to BLACK terminals and RED wire to RED terminals
   • Push Speaker terminal tab down to insert wire.
   • Release tab to lock wire in the terminal.

POWER SUPPLY
Using the AC adaptor

AC adaptor:

• Input: 100-240V ∼50/60Hz 1.5A
• Output: 12.0V 3.0A

The supplied AC adaptor is suitable for use on AC main supplies of 100-240V∼ and should only be connected to a mains supply within these parameters.

In a concern of saving energy, when playback has reached to the end or listening volume is set at a very low level and no control is operated on the device for a period of 10 minutes, the unit will automatically switch to Standby mode.

Cautions:

• • The AC adaptor included with this unit is for its use only. Do not use it with other equipment.
• • Turn off the unit before unplugging the AC adaptor from the unit so as to avoid the unit being damaged.
• • When the unit is not going to be used for long time, disconnect the AC adaptor from the AC outlet.
• • Be sure to use it near the wall outlet and easily accessible. If a malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet at once.
• • AC adaptor is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be obstructed during intended use. To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the AC adaptor of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
• • Never use an AC adaptor that is damaged, route power lead in a safe manner and make sure it is not subjected to trapping or pinching. If the power lead is damaged refer to a qualified service agent.

TURNING ON/OFF THE UNIT

1. To slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to “ON” position on back of unit to go to the standby mode, the STANDBY indicator turns RED, then press STANDBY button to turn the unit ON.
2. To power off the unit, press the STANDBY button, then slide the POWER ON/OFF switch to “OFF” position on back of unit.

SELECTING FUNCTION
The function (FM/ CD/ USB/ PHONO/ AUX/ BLUETOOTH) is selected by pressing FUNCTION button repeatedly.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO

1. When the unit is on, press FUNCTION button to select the FM mode until FM indicator appears on display
2. Fast rotate TUNING knob clockwise or anti-clockwise. The radio will automatically search a station upward or downward and stop at a strong station.
3. Adjust the volume to the desired level.

Automatic storage
Press and hold ATS for few seconds and the unit will automatically save the first 20 FM stations. When you store on a channel already been preset, the previous station will automatically be cleared and replaced by the new station.

Listen to the station presets

1. Press P- / P+ and repeat the operation as many times as necessary to select your station.
2. Adjust the VOLUME to the desired level.

LISTENING TO THE CD DISC/ MP3

1. When the unit is on, press FUNCTION button to select the CD mode until CD indicator appears on display.

2. Press to open the disc tray. Display shows ”OPEN”, Insert a disc with label side facing up.
   Press again to close the disc tray. The display will show “–“ for few seconds.

3. The total number of track will appear on display and playback starts automatically.

4. Press to skip forward to the next track or press repeatedly to skip several tracks.
   Press return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards several tracks.
   Press and hold to search quickly within a track.

5. Press to suspend momentarily the track playback. Press again to resume playback.

6. Press to stop the playback.

USB PLAYBACK

1. Connect a USB device containing MP3 files or MP3 player to the USB port.

2. When the unit is on, press FUNCTION button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appears on display.

3. Adjust the VOLUME to the desired level.

4. Press to skip forward to the next track or press repeatedly to skip several tracks.
   Press return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards several tracks.

5. Press and hold to search quickly within a track.

6. Press to suspend momentarily the track playback.
   Press again to resume playback.

7. Press to stop the USB playback.

Removing the USB device
Please be sure to stop playback and turn the unit OFF before removing the USB device to avoid damaging the USB and system.

Note:

• • There are many USB devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models. Please try another USB device if yours is not supported.
• • The unit might not support all the multimedia files stored in USB because it includes some special playback procedure which might not be compatible with the procedure of this unit.

LISTENING TO THE PHONO

1. When the unit is on, press FUNCTION button to select the phono mode until PHONO indicator appears on display.

2. Remove the stylus cover from the stylus and release the Tone arm rest.

3. Place a record on the turntable platter and select the desired speed (33/45/78) according to the record.
   NOTE: If you are playing 45RPM singles, place the 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.

4. Push up the lift lever to raise the tone arm and gently move the tone arm to the desired position onto the record, push down the lift lever, move the tone arm slowly onto the record to start playing the record.

5. Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired level.

6. If the AUTO STOP ON/OFF Switch is turned ON, the record will stop automatically when playback ends. If Auto Stop switch is turned OFF, record will not stop automatically when playback ends.

Remark: Certain types of records may have an auto-stop area outside the preset limit, so the turntable may stop before the last track finishes. If this occurs, set the AUTO-STOP switch to the “OFF” position. This allows the record to play to the end, but please note that it will not stop automatically. You must manually raise the tone arm and place it back in the rest and then turn off the power to prevent the turntable from spinning

IMPORTANT: Do not turn or stop the Turntable platter manually. Moving or jarring the Turntable platter without securing the Tone Arm Clamp could cause damage to the Tone Arm or Stylus.

CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE

1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN jack (3.5mm) on back of unit. (cable not included).
2. Press FUNCTION button repeatedly to select AUX mode until “ AU ” indicator appear on display.
3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
4. Adjust the VOLUME to desired level.
5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX IN jack.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

1. When the unit is ON, press FUNCTON button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show “ bf ” for a few seconds. The Bluetooth indicator will start to blink rapidly
2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “MUSE MT-120 MB” from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) You will hear an indication voice when pairing is successful.

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.

• On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose “Use as Audio Device (stereo)” or similar.
• Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range. An active connection will be re-established when your Bluetooth device returns within range.
• When the unit is turned on again, it will automatically try to reconnect with the most recently paired Bluetooth device.

Using a Bluetooth Device

1. With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the MT-120 MB’s speakers.
2. Press the button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
3. Select desired track with .
4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME buttons. You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.

RECORDING THE PHONO

1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
2. Follow procedures 1 to 6 in LISTENING TO THE PHONO section. Press the REC button, the REC indicator lights up and ”USB” icon flashes, then recording will start.
3. Press to stop encoding, REC indicator lights off.
4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press FUNCTION button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE RADIO

1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
2. Follow procedures 1 to 3 in LISTENING TO THE RADIO section. Press the REC button, the REC indicator lights up and ”USB” icon flashes, then recording will start.
3. Press to stop encoding, REC indicator lights off.
4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press FUNCTION button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE AUX IN

1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).
2. Follow procedures 1 to 5 in CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE section. Press the REC button, the REC indicator lights up and ”USB” icon flashes, then recording will start.
3. Press to stop encoding, REC indicator lights off.
4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press FUNCTION button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE BLUETOOTH

1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding)
2. Follow procedures 1 to 4 in Using a Bluetooth Device section. Press the REC button, the REC indicator lights up and ”USB” icon flashes, then recording will start.
3. Press to stop encoding, REC indicator lights off.
4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press FUNCTION button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.

RECORDING THE CD

1. Connect the USB device to the USB port (Make sure the USB device have enough space to save the encoding).

2. Follow procedures 1 to 6 in LISTENINGTOTHECD DISC/ MP3 section. Press the REC button, the REC icon lights up and ”ONE” icon appears in display.

3. Press to choose ONE (single CD song recording) or ALL (whole CD recording).

   • Single CD song recording:
     Choose ”ONE” icon appears on display, press the REC button to confirm the recording.
     The display will appear the “01”, then press to select the song to be recorded,

     Press the REC button to confirm the selection and the recording starts, the ”USB” icon flashes. Press to stop encoding or will stop automatically when the song finish.

   • Whole CD recording:
     Choose ”ALL” icon appears on display , press the REC button to confirm the recording.
     Then press the REC button again to start the recording, the ”USB” icon flashes.

     Press to stop encoding or will stop automatically when the CD song finish.

4. To listen the recording, repeatedly press FUNCTION button to select the USB mode until USB indicator appear on display, and press to find the last file in the USB, then the playback starts automatically.
