The Baby Lock Edge Joining Foot (ESG-EJF) is a sewing accessory designed for use with Baby Lock sewing machines. It is similar to the standard presser foot but includes positioning marks and a guide in the center of the foot. The positioning marks and guide help align two fabric edges accurately, ensuring that the joining point remains centered under the foot. Additionally, the foot features a second mark on the left and an indention on the right, which assist in guiding two pieces of fabric or lace for balanced stitching.
Product Usage Instructions
MACHINE SETTINGS (Edge Joining)
- Stitch: Couching or fagoting stitch
- Stitch length: Pre-set
- Stitch width: 5.0
To join two pieces of fabric or lace:
- Place one piece of lace or fabric with a clean-finished edge to the right of the guide.
- Place another piece of lace or fabric to the left of the guide.
- This arrangement will ensure that the stitch falls evenly spaced on both sides.
Note : The stitch length and width can be adjusted according to the selected stitch type.
MACHINE SETTINGS (Edge Stitching)
- Stitch: Straight stitch
- Stitch length: 2.5
- Stitch width: Adjustable
To perform narrow edge stitching:
- Align the fabric edge with the guide on the foot.
- Select a straight stitch and position the needle on the left needle position.
- Adjust the needle position to the desired distance from the fabric edge.

fall evenly spaced on both sides.

selected.

Edge Stitching
Not only can this foot be used for joining two pieces of fabric, it can also be used for narrow-edge stitching. Align the fabric edge with the guide and select a straight stitch in the left needle position; move the needle position to the desired distance from the fabric edge.
