Function Buttons

  1. Power ON / OFF
    Unfold the probe from the housing to turn it on; and fold the probe to turn it off.
    Recommend to fold the probe when not in use.

  2. HOLD / CAL

  • Hold the current reading
    Short press to freeze the reading. The result will be kept for 10s. The HOLD function will auto turn off if no operation is performed for 10s. Short press again to resume taking measurements.

  • Calibration
    Press and hold for 3s
    First, mix 90% crushed ice and 10% water for 5 minutes. Press and hold the CAL button for 3s, the CAL will flash for 5s, and then insert the probe to the ice-water  mixture to measure.
    The screen displays and flashes
    0 °C (32 °F) three times to complete 0 °C (32 °F) calibration. The thermometer will automatically save the settings and enter the normal display state.

Note:

  1. Only when the ice-water mixture is within the range of 0 °C~1°C(32 °F~33.8 °F), can the thermometer enter calibration mode. Otherwise, the calibration mode will be unavailable. When the calibration mode is unavailable, LCD would display ERR and flashes three times, then the thermometer would automatically exit the calibration  mode and enters the normal display state.

  2. The measurement environment should be carried out at normal room temperature. During calibration, the probe should not touch the surface of utensils. Always place the thermometer probe in a mixture of ice and water.

  3. Reset (Backlight)
    Short press to activate the backlight, which will go off in 10 seconds.
    RESET
    Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to the manufacturer default settings.

  4. °C/°F Button
    Short press to switch the unit. Default unit: °F.

    -50 °C~300 °C(-58 °F~572 °F). If the temperature is below -50 °C(-58 °F) or above 300 °C (572 °F), LL.L or HH.H will show on the display

Use & Maintenance

  • Do not touch the stainless portion of the thermometer during or right after measuring temperatures to avoiding being scalded.
  • Do not place the unit in dishwasher or immerse the whole product into any liquid.
  • You can clean it with tap water, but never rinse over 3 minutes. After cleaning, dry it with a cloth before storage.
  • Do not leave exposed to extremely high or low temperatures since this will damage electronic parts and plastics.
  • Do not leave the thermometer inserted in food during cooking.
  • Remove battery if stored for more than four months.
  • This item carries 18-month warranty.
