Specifications

  1. Measurement range: -50°C~300°C (-58°F~572°F).
    The screen will display “H1 “or “L 1 ” if the temperature is below -50’C (-58’F) or above 300’C (572’F).

  2. Response time: 3s.

  3. Auto-off function: The thermometer will power off automatically if it’s unused for 10 minutes.

  4. 180′ reversible display: Easy to read at different angles.

  5. Resolution: 0.1 ‘CrF.

  6. Temperature accuracy:
    -20’C(-4’F) to 150’C (302’F): ±1’C(±2’F)
    150’C(302’F) to 200’C (392’F): ±2°C (±4’F)
    Except the above measurement range, the accuracy will exceed 2’C (4°F).

Function and Operation Guide

  1. Power ON/OFF: unfold the probe from the housing to tum it on; and fold the probe to turn it off.

  2. Short press to activate the backlight, which will go off in 15 seconds. Long press to convert ºC/ºF. The next lime you use the product, the temperature unit displayed will be the one that is selected last time.

  3. HOLD: Short press to freeze the reading. Short press again to resume taking measurements.

  4. MAX/MIN: Short press to show the MAX or MIN temperature value for tested object.

  5. Before using the product, tear off protective film from the front panel. Unfold the probe to measure the temperature, and the LCD display will show the temperature.

  6. Insert the probe tip into the cooking food and the product will measure the temperature of the internal food.

  7. Wait until the reading is stable.

  8. Replace batteries: use a coin to remove the battery compartment cover. Take out the battery and replace the dead battery

Considerations

Before use

  1. Clean the stainless probe tip: use a soft sponge or cloth to wipe the probe tip, rinse and wipe it up.
  2. If the product is not used, do not expose it to extreme temperature, which will damage the electric parts and plastic housing.
  3. Do not clean the product via a high-temperature sealed equipment, such as a dishwasher, because it may cause damages.

During use

  1. When measuring different food and meat, do not cool down the probe tip by rinsing with cold water between the readings.
  2. The product is designed for handhold, therefore do not use it in an oven.
  3. Do not insert the product in food or liquids of extreme temperature (any objects exceeds 300’C (572’F) for more than 1 minute.
  4. Always insert the probe into the thickest portion of meat. It’s hard to measure on thin portion of meat for the meat is quick to cook through. Avoid touching the bone. If the tip reaches the bone or the thickest fat, or do not reaches far enough, please take a second reading to ensure accuracy.
  5. Do not immerse the whole product into water.
  6. Do not touch the probe with your bare hands.
  7.  Do not use soapy water to clean the metal probe.
