Features

DOQAUS-CP5-Wireless-Meat-Thermometer-FIG-1 \(3\)

  1. Booster: Receives the temperature signal from the probe and booster and transmits it to the smart device. It also serves as a power source to charge the probe.
  2. Pair/Silence: Serves 2 functions
  3. When using it for the first time, after taking out the probe, press and hold the button for 3 seconds until you hear a “beep” sound, and the Bluetooth Connection Indicator displays in blue. This indicates that the booster and the probe have completed pairing.
  * ( **Note:** This step is necessary when using the probe for the first time or when replacing it. Once paired, there is no need to repeat the pairing process for future use.)
2. Press once to silence the booster’s alarm when the meat temperature reaches the target temperature.
  1. Bluetooth Connection Indicator: If the probe and the booster are connected, the indicator will always be blue. If the probe loses connection with the booster, it will flash red slowly. When the probe is placed in the booster for charging and storage, the light will be off.
  2. Probe Battery Power Indicator: When it flashes quickly, it indicates the probe battery power is low and needs to be recharged. When the probe is being charged, the light will always be on. After the probe is fully charged, the light will be off.
  3. Booster Battery Power Indicator: When it flashes quickly, this indicates the booster battery power is low and needs to be recharged. When the booster is being charged, the light will always be on. Once the booster is fully charged, the light will be off.
  4. Speaker: When the meat temperature reaches the target level, a sound will be emitted from here. Additionally, if the meat temperature exceeds 100 degrees, an over-temperature warning sound will be activated.
  5. Type-c Charging Port.
  6. Weep Hole: Prevent residual liquids from entering the booster to affect usage.
  7. 9. & 10. Built-in Magnet: Two strong built-in magnets allow you to attach the booster to your grill, oven, smoker, or any other metal surface.
  8. Ambient Temperature Sensor: The ambient temperature sensor is housed toward the ceramic end and has a range of 14°F to 572°F(-10°C to 300°C).
  9. Ceramic Handle.
  10. Notch (Safe line): When the probe is inserted into meat to measure the meat’s internal temperature, the probe must be inserted deep enough so that the meat will cover this notch.
  11. Stainless Steel Probe.
  12. Internal Temperature Sensor: The internal temperature sensor is positioned at the tip and ranges from 14°F to 212°F(-10°C to 100°C).

CAUTION:

  1. There are sophisticated and delicate electronics within the probe. To prevent potential damage to the electronics due to excessive heat, always ensure that the probe is inserted deeply enough into the meat so that the notch on the probe is fully covered by the meat.
  2. DO NOT use the probe in the microwave.
  3. The connection range between the probe and the booster can typically reach up to 160 feet (50 meters) in an open area. However, this range may significantly decrease to as little as 10-66 feet (3-20 meters) when the probe is inserted into the meat and the metal cooking appliance is closed. Therefore, we strongly recommend placing the booster as close as possible to the probe when it’s inserted in the meat, such as positioning it near the cooking appliance. But DO NOT place the booster directly on the grill cover or near any heated surface.
  4. To prevent burns, always wear gloves when removing the probe from the meat after cooking.
  5. After cleaning the probe, be sure to place it in the booster for charging and storage.
  6. Exercise caution as the probe is sharp! When handling the probe, it is important to be careful. This device should not be operated by or kept in the vicinity of children or individuals with certain disabilities.

  • FOR ARTIFICIAL CARDIAC PACEMAKER USERS:
    • Please be aware that a magnet installed inside the device may affect the functionality of your artificial cardiac pacemaker.
    • If you have a pacemaker, we recommend maintaining a distance of at least 1 foot or 0.3 meters from the device.

FAQs

How far is the wireless range?

In an open area (line of sight): 520 feet (158 meters), but this may vary slightly with different smart devices and versions. Obstructed: In typical houses with walls and obstacles, the average range is 170 feet (52 meters).

Why does the wireless distance shorten when there are obstacles or in enclosed spaces?

Obstacles can directly block the wireless signal's propagation path, preventing the signal from reaching the receiving device. This leads to signal interruptions or a reduced distance.

Why does it have to be inserted to a depth of 3.2 inches (Notch position)?

The probe's tip has a maximum temperature of 212°F (100°C), and this area contains delicate electronic components. To prevent potential damage to the electronic equipment due to overheating, ensure that the probe's Notch position is covered when inserted into meat.

Why does the Booster need to be placed near the probe?

In an open area, the connection range between the Probe and the Booster can typically reach up to 160 feet (50 meters). However, when the Probe is inserted into the meat and the metal cooking appliance is closed, this range may significantly decrease to as little as 10-66 feet (3-20 meters). Therefore, we strongly recommend placing the Booster as close as possible to the Probe when it's inserted in the meat, such as positioning it near the cooking appliance.

How long can the probe be used on the grill?

With a full charge, it can be used continuously for 48 hours.

Can I use it safely in the dishwasher?

Yes, our probes are IPX7 waterproof and can be safely used in the dishwasher.

Can I use multiple probes simultaneously?

Currently, the single-probe version only supports connecting one probe, but the multi-probe version is coming soon. Stay tuned!

Can one probe be connected to two devices simultaneously?

No, simultaneous connection is not supported. If you need to switch to a different device, please exit the current device's app.

Can this be used in boiling water or soup?

It's not recommended to place it directly in boiling water because the probe tip has a maximum temperature of 212°F (100°C). You can insert the probe into the food and then place it in.

Do I need to pair it frequently?

Pairing is required for the first use or when replacing the probe. Once paired, you don't need to repeat the pairing process in the future.

How do I turn it off?

After use and cleaning, simply place it in the Booster.

The wireless connection indicator on the Booster is constantly red. What should I do?

The red colour indicates that the Bluetooth connection between the Booster and the Probe has been disconnected. Please check the probe's battery status or move the Booster closer to the probe. It should return to blue when the connection is restored.

My smart device shows a disconnection. Will it automatically reconnect?

Yes, disconnection may occur due to interference or being too far away. When you are near your Probe and Booster, it will automatically reconnect within 3-5 seconds.
