MOUNTING
Please Note
- Use suitable fixings for mounting. If you are unsure whether the fixings included are suitable, seek advice from a specialist stockist.
- Before drilling, ensure that there are no pipes or cables behind the intended drilling point.
- A spirit level, a drill, a hammer if necessary, a screwdriver, and a pen are required for mounting.
- The product should not be placed near to other light sources such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be switched on automatically.
- Place the product in a location where the solar panels can absorb direct sunlight all day long if possible. Fix on a dry, elevated, and even surface.
To mount the product on a wall using the fixings that are supplied, perform the following steps:
- Use a spirit level and a pen to mark out 2 drilling points.
- Drill the holes (Ø 6 mm).
- Insert the anchors into the drill holes. Tap in gently with a hammer if necessary.
- Turn the screws into the anchors using a screwdriver. Do not screw the screws all the way in.
- Place the holes (7) on the screw heads and gently press down the wall mounting bracket (3) if necessary. When you do this, make sure that the holes are aligned correctly (see picture).
USE
- Press the On / Off switch (4) to switch on the product and to activate the motion sensor (5) and the twilight sensor.
- When the product is switched on, the battery can charge up in daylight via the solar panels (2). When darkness sets in, the motion sensor is automatically activated and the LEDs switch on for approx. 20 seconds as soon as any movement is detected.
- To check whether the product is switched on during daylight: Cover up the solar panels with one hand and use your other hand to trigger the motion sensor. If the LEDs light up, the product is switched on.
- Twist the lamp heads (1) to align them at the angle you want. The solar panels should be aligned so that they can absorb direct sunlight.
- If it is not being used for a prolonged period, press the On / Off switch to switch off the product. Please Note: The battery performance may be severely restricted in temperatures well below freezing.
CLEANING & STORAGE
- Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the product! These might damage the surface.
- Keep the solar panels clean so that the greatest possible absorption of light is ensured. Wipe down the solar panels (and if necessary also the remaining components of the product) with a damp cloth.
- When it is not in use, you should store the product in a dry, clean location that is out of the reach of children and animals.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so
that it can be recycled. The adjacent symbol (crossed-out bin underlined)
means that used devices should not be disposed of in the domestic waste, but
should instead be taken to special collection and return systems. Owners of
used devices must remove from the user device any used batteries or
rechargeable batteries which are not encapsulated by the user device and can
be removed in a non-destructive way and disposed of them separately (see also
the section on battery disposal). Owners of used devices from private
households can take them free of charge to the collection points of the public
waste disposal authorities or the disposal points which are set up by
manufacturers and distributors under the Electrical Equipment Act. Businesses
that market electrical and electronic devices are also obliged to take back
used devices.
Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of along with
household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to separate and recycle non-
rechargeable and rechargeable batteries. Non-rechargeable and rechargeable
batteries can be taken free of charge to a collection point of your local
authority/district or in shops so that they can be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way and valuable raw materials can be recovered. If
they are not disposed of properly, toxic ingredients may enter the environment
and have harmful effects on people, animals, and plants. Only dispose of non-
rechargeable and rechargeable batteries when they are discharged. With non-
rechargeable and rechargeable batteries that contain lithium, cover the poles
before disposing of them to prevent a short circuit. A short circuit may cause
a fire or explosion.
Removing the Battery
Please Note!
- WARNING! The battery can be deadly if swallowed. The battery and the product should be kept out of the reach of children and animals. There is a danger of burns from battery acid! If the battery is swallowed, medical attention must be sought immediately.
- WARNING! Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a fire, immersed in liquids or exposed to high temperatures of over +40°C. The battery could ignite or explode.
- Undo the screws on the battery compartment cover (8) and remove the cover from the wall mounting bracket (3).
