INSERTING / REPLACING BATTERIES

Before inserting the batteries, check whether they are clean, and clean them if necessary.

  1. Press the locking lug towards the battery compartment cover and remove it at the same time.
  2. Remove the dead batteries and insert two new batteries (1.5 V; AA). Pay attention to the polarity (+ / –).
  3. Insert the battery compartment cover and press it on firmly. You must hear and feel it engage.

USE

• Insert the batteries before you first use the product (see the “Inserting / Replacing Batteries” chapter).

  1. Remove any loose and protruding parts from the damaged area using the cleaning scraper or spatula (Picture A). If necessary, round off the edges of the area slightly.

  2. Select one or more hard wax bars of matching colour.
Different colours can be combined to get the most accurate shade possible. When you do this, always work from light to dark. The use of light wax gives a depth effect.

  3. Take off the protective cap and slide the switch of the wax melter to the ON position.

  4. Press the heat button for approx. 10 seconds to heat the tip. The operating lamp lights up as long as the heat button is pressed.
Please Note: The button does not need to be held pressed constantly. It is sufficient to heat the tip at regular intervals. If smoke is produced, let go of the button and allow the tip to cool down.

  5. Hold the hot tip against the wax and place the melted wax into the damaged area (Picture B + C). Make sure that no air pockets are formed.

  6. Keep repeating step 5 until the area is slightly overfilled.

  7. Wait until the wax has hardened (approx. 30 seconds).

  8. Place the grooved side of the spatula flat on the treated area and remove the excess wax (Picture D).

  9. If a wood grain is to be replicated: Place the edge of the spatula flat and at a 90° angle to the grain and go over the grain (Picture E). The edges of the cleaning scraper can be used to clean the grooves of the spatula or its edge.

  10. If necessary, make further adjustments to the colour. Then smooth the area with the edge of the spatula.

  11. Finally, go over the area with the abrasive sponge (Picture F).

  12. Slide the switch of the wax melter to the OFF position.

  13. Clean the tip of the wax melter with the cleaning cloth after it has cooled and place on the protective cap (Picture G).
