sOmfy 9021217 External Li Ion Rechargeable Battery Pack
To avoid errors and save valuable time, please read these instructions before installing your external rechargeable battery pack.
GETTING STARTED
Thank you for purchasing an External Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Pack. All of the required installation components are enclosed in your package along with these instructions. Please thoroughly review these instruction before beginning the installation.
- Be certain you have the correct Somfy plug-in charger for your battery pack (see Ref/fig below #9025166)
- Battery should be charged completely prior to installation.
- Ensure you comply with the recharging instructions.
- The optimum recharging temperature is between 32°F and 113°F.
- Do not disassemble or alter the battery.
- Must only be used with Somfy External Battery WireFree motors (refer to the motor instructions for programing).
- Do not use or install this product outdoors.
- Product must never be dropped, immersed in water or exposed to flammable materials.
- Battery pack should always be replaced with Somfy certified replacement.

Mounting Methods
- With a wall/ceiling bracket.
- With a headrail mounting bracket.
Charging Li-ion Battery Pack
Note: When using tubular motors with LED indicator on the motorhead LED will slowly blink (red) when battery requires charging.
STEP 1
If battery pack charging port is accessible simply plug charger into battery
pack charging port and skip to STEP 4. If the battery charging port is not
accessible, follow STEP 2.
NOTE: Using battery charging accessory (Ref. 9021131 or 9021016)
illustrated above can facilitate access to the battery pack charging port.
STEP 2
Disconnect battery pack cable connector from motor cable connector, then
simply remove battery pack from brackets to charge.
STEP 3
Attach small connector from wall charger to charging port of battery pack.
STEP 4
Plug Wall charger into a nearby electrical outlet. The LED indicator will
illuminate RED while battery is charging.
STEP 5
Once LED illuminates GREEN, battery is fully charged. Disconnect wall charger
connector from battery charging port, then remove wall charger from electrical
outlet.
STEP 6
If battery was removed from brackets for charging, simply reinstall battery
pack into mounting brackets.
STEP 7
Reconnect battery pack cable connector to motor cable connector.
STEP 8
Manage the placement of all cords making certain they do not interfere with
movement of window covering. Be certain motor antenna is exposed for optimal
radio performance.

WARNING STRANGULATION HAZARD
Young chidren can be strangled by cords. Immediately remove this product if a cord longer than 22 cm or a loop exceeding 44 cm around becomes accessible. Rev 7/21 Print 7/21
