Warm Tips

  1. Solar camera can only be set up with a 2.4GWIFI network.
  2. You may possibly need a Wi-Fi extender if the WIFI signal is weak where you want to install it.
  3. Our device is powered by a lithium battery. It is expected to be used for 3 months when it is fully charged. The mobile phone APP will prompt when the battery voltage is low. Please charge the device in time after receiving the prompt (Use an external power supply when there is no sunlight).
  4. The PIR range is 20 feet around. To avoid too many false alarms, we suggest you do not install the camera with nearby bushes, shrubs, grasses, and tree leaves coming into the PIR range.

Description of Indication LED

Red:
Working. The light is on when working, and it goes out on standby or shutdown.

Green :
Charging. The light is on when charging, and it is off
when it is fully charged or not charging. The green light is not controlled by the power switch.

Yellow:

On when PIR is inducted, and off without induction.

Purple :

Need to connect to the internet, it will be on for about1’s after the Internet is successfully connected, then it will be off. It will flash after a successful restart.

  1. Download APP UBox from your APP Store/ Googleplay for IOS/ Android devices.

    Open the app, click “register” , enter the mobile phone number or email address, click agree to the user agreement, and click the Register button (For better user experience, please allow all notification permissions to avoid being unable to obtain the notice).

    Click “Add family” and then input the name of the house, click “next step” and then input the required information, and then click “finished” to save it.

  4. Pairing the camera with the App
    Please make sure your Wi-Fi is 2.4Ghz, and let your phone connect to your Wi- Fi. ①Turn on the switch button, Then you will hear the voice ” The camera is now ready to begin pairing”.
    ②Click “Add a device” and then choose “Set up device”, click “Yes” , when you hear the following voice ” The camera is now ready to begin pairing”.

Method 1: QR code configuration
Click the “QR code configuration” , hold the QR code in front of the Solar camera, and then you will hear the: “Pairing Information Received”

Enter into the “search device” page, turn up your phone’s volume to the Maximum, you will hear the voice:” Pairing Information Received”.
Then choose the name of the devices from the drop-down choice, or you can modify one that you want. and then select the area where the device is located

  1. Scene mode (LED white light or Infrared light can be freely chosen at any mode)
    APP Settings
    Normal: Infrared or white light auto turned on at night, off during the day. Backlight compensation is not suitable for this product.
    Night vision mode: No matter day and night both use Infrared mode, but you can also turn on the white light on the screen.
    High light compensation: This mode is mainly used in places where the camera’s light is relatively strong during the day to prevent strong light, the image is whitish.
    Dynamic: When this mode is turned on, the image quality is still clear in the changeable light.

  2. PIR Detection

    You can set the PIR sensitivity as Disabled, Low, Medium, and High.

  1. When you set the PIR as Disabled, you will not record and receive any motion-triggered events.
  2. It is recommended to set the PIR Detection to High so that you could capture as more as a motion-triggered from the beginning part of the event.
  3. When the battery is almost run out, turn off the PIR motion detection or turn it to a low level, it can be fully charged in a short time.

    You could set the video length recorded to a micro SD card. If you use the cloud then it is only 8s time to record.

    Always: If you choose this option, you will not allow the camera to enter into standby mode, the camera will keep recording all the time until the battery drains out( 60 seconds per file).

    If not satisfied with video smoothness, and signal strength in App is not strong, we would suggest adding a WIFI extender between the Router and the camera.

You may adjust the camera angle physically according to the live view on your mobile. To focus your motion area to get more accurate motion-triggered events.

If your camera gets numerous motion alerts unexpected, you can try the below method.

①Adjust your camera installation angle a bit down to focus the motion area.
②Change your PIR sensitivity to Low to reduce the PIR sensitivity.
③Do not install the camera with nearby bushes, shrubs, grasses, and tree leaves coming into the PIR range.

FAQ

Q1: How can I restart the camera?****

A: Use a sharp and small object to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, when you see the purple light is flashing it is mean you restart successfully.

Q2: Why I cannot receive any alarm after I finished connecting the camera with the App?****

A: 1 . Click the in App to confirm you have turned on the push mode. 2. Check your mobile settings to allow the notification.

Q3: Can I control the LED white lights?****

A: Yes, you can control it on your phone screen.

Q4: Why is there no light on after the camera is turned on?****

A: The camera may be out of power, please use an external power supply to fully charge the camera. Please restart the  camera before reconnecting the camera.

Q5: How to unbind my camera?****

A: Click the “Base settings” and then choose “Delete Device”.
