Product Information

The Tx Track Pro is a versatile transmitter with a large detection field that is part of the Freelap timing system. It can be quickly set as START, LAP, or FINISH transmitter and emits a
magnetic field that is automatically detected by your transponder during its passage. The Tx Track Pro is guaranteed for 2 years and technical support can be found on the Freelap website or by contacting a Freelap dealer.

Battery and Battery Life
The Tx Track Pro can be charged using the magnetic USB port and has a battery life of up to 12 hours.

Product Usage Instructions

Prerequisites

To use the Tx Track Pro, you must attach the transponder(s) to the athlete(s) and use the MyFreelap app. Refer to corresponding user manuals for more information.

Get to know your device

The Tx Track Pro has three LED lights that indicate which code it is set on: START, LAP, or FINISH. The Power button is used to turn on/off the transmitter and to set the desired code. The magnetic USB port is used to charge the device.

Turn it on

To turn on the Tx Track Pro, press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds. The green LED light will indicate that the transmitter is on.

Set the desired code

Once the transmitter is on, use short presses on the Power button to select the desired code. Each short press of the Power button switches you to the next code. The LED of the selected code flashes.

Place it on the track

It is important to place the transmitter on the track in the correct location. Placing the transmitter at any other location or position may result in inaccuracies or non-detection. Refer to the user manual for specific examples for different sports.

Associate it with other Freelap transmitters

To use the Freelap system, you must have a transmitter set on the code FINISH on your track. The Tx Track Pro can be used in combination with other Freelap transmitters and must be spaced at least 10m apart with a minimum time of 0.7 seconds. Your track must contain a maximum of 11 transmitters.

About the Tx Track Pro

Tx Track Pro is the versatile transmitter with large detection field of the Freelap system. The Tx Track Pro can be quickly set as START, LAP, or FINISH transmitter. It emits a magnetic field automatically detected by your transponder during its passage.

Use of the Tx Track Pro

  1. Prerequisites
    Tx Track Pro transmitter is a part of the Freelap timing system. To get your timing data, you must attach the transponder(s) to the athlete(s) and use the MyFreelap app (cf corresponding user manuals).

  2. Get to know your device

  3. Turn it on
    To turn on the transmitter, press the “Power” button for 2 seconds.
    The green led lights up to indicate that the transmitter is on.

  4. Set the desired code
    Once the transmitter is on, make short presses on the “Power” button to select the desired code (START = for start transmitter/ LAP = for intermediate transmitter/ FINISH = for finish transmitter). Each short press of the “Power” button switches you to the next code. The LED of the selected code flashes.

  5. Place it on the track

    • Place the Tx Track Pro on the ground.
      The transmitter has a detection field of 3m on each side, it must be placed as follows:

    • This transmitter has the shape of an arrow. Place the transmitter on the side of the track, pointing the front of the arrow toward the track. The direction of the arrow indicates an imaginary line of passage.

    • Place the transmitter at less than 3m of the athlete’s passage (so that the transponder of the athlete crosses the detection field).

    • For skiing, it can be placed inside a slalom gate and on arrival. It can also be placed under the snow in the middle of the finish area to increase the detection field (7m).

Placing the transmitter at any other location or position may result in inaccuracies or non-detection.

To get your LAP times in a loop system, only 1 transmitter with the code “FINISH” is enough. To take the start, stay 5s in the transmitter detection field and start the race.

Associate it with other Freelap transmitters
To make the Freelap system work, you must have a transmitter set on the code FINISH on your track.
The Tx Track Pro is a versatile transmitter, so you can use several Tx Track Pro on your track (set as START, LAP or FINISH transmitter).
You can also use it in combination with other Freelap transmitters (eg. : you can use the Tx Gate Pro transmitter as START transmitter for skiing).
Transmitters must be spaced at least 10m apart, with a minimum time of 0.7 second.

Your track must contain a maximum of 11 transmitters.

Battery and battery life
Your Tx Track Pro has a 3.7V 5Ah LiPo rechargeable battery.

  • Low battery indicator: When the battery is low, the led flashes red.
  • Recharging the battery:
    • Insert the magnetic USB cable provided into the magnetic USB port.
    • It is recommended to make complete charges (charging time: 10h).
    • When the battery is fully charged, the device has a battery life of 60h.
    • Your Tx Track Pro has an automatic shutdown function (after 12h).
