FAQ of Ustellar GemBand Smart Floodlight

Q1: After turning on and off three times, the smart floodlight does not flash (does not enter the pairing state)
- Please make sure to keep an interval about 2 seconds between each turn-on and turn-off
- After switch on-off 3 times, please wait for about 5 seconds, then the light will start to blink with
RED light, which means that it has been reset successfully.

Q2: Failure to add the smart floodlight to Smart Life app?

Please make sure the WiFi signal strength is strong enough for the flood light.

Please note that the WiFi signal-receiving module is built into the first floodlight head (the one close to the power adapter). The distance between the first floodlight head and your WiFi router
is preferably 65ft/20m. -
Please make sure to turn on the Bluetooth and WiFi on your phone.

Please make sure the working network is 2.4GHz, and your phone is connected to it. If your WiFi router supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz, please separate the two frequency bands in the router seings, and select the 2.4GHz for connection.

Q3: Failure to connect your smart floodlight to the third party (Alexa, Google Assistance)
- Ensure you have enabled the skill.
- Confirm the account name and password of Alexa are identical as Smart Life App.
- Rename the smart floodlight with a simply and brief one.
- Please make sure that your Alexa app is connected to Amazon Echo, and both work together successfully under your Wi-Fi home network.
- Confirm that both smart floodlight and echo use the same router.
- If Alexa encounters cloud service exception, it can result in smart floodlight connection failure
or disconnection, in this case, please try again later.

Q4: Can I use Bluetooth to control the lights if I don’t have a wifi connection?
- You can’t use Bluetooth to control the floodlights, the blue-tooth is just for pairing lights to Smart Life app.

Q5: Can i cut the wire between the control box and lights to extend it?
- The flood lights and cables can not be extended, Do not cut the cable.
- Use this product with the provided power adapter only.

Q6: Can each light be set to a different color?
You can customize the color of each light using the app:
1. This button is to set the number of flood lights, please click and set to ‘6’.
2. Click the’ ‘ button, and select the color in the color plate, the color of all the flood lights will be changed at the same time.
3. Click the . ‘ button, select the color in the color plate, and select the flood light you want,
the color will be changed separately.
4. Click the ‘ button, and select the flood light, the flood light will be turn off separately.
5. Click the ‘ button, all the flood lights will be turn on/o at the same time.
6. Click the ‘ White’ tab, you can set the flood lights to warm white and adjust the brightness.
- Q7: Do the light retain the last setting when the power comes back on after a power outage?
- GemBand floodlights have a memory function, which will keep the last setting, you don’t need to set it again.
- Q8: Is the power adapter rated for outdoor?
- The power adapter is IP44 grade waterproof, which can not be directly used outdoor. Please connect to a indoor socket, or use a waterproof box.
- The flood lights are IP66 grade waterproof, which can be used outdoor. But do not immerse the lights in water.
- Q9: If only one of the 6 lights is broken, can the light be replaced?
- GemBand floodlights cannot be disassembled, and the cable between lights cannot be cut.
- If there is a broken light, please contact the customer service to provide you with return and exchange services.
