SJCAM SJ5000X Series Elite Action Camera

Safety Warnings
- While this is an action camera, care must be taken to keep it working properly.
- Do not expose the unit to strong magnetic fields, such as magnets, electrical motors, and machinery that use strong electromagnetic or radio waves.
- Do not leave your S5000 in hot environments or under direct sunlight for long periods.
- All electronic equipment generate heat during operation. If the camera’s body is too hot to touch, turn the unit off and let it cool down before using it again.
- Choose a branded microSD card to avoid performance issues. Non-branded cards may cause erratic camera behavior.
- Do not place your microSD cards near strong magnetic fields to avoid data loss.
- Always remove the battery when using the camera as a dashcam to avoid overcharging.
- Always avoid extended periods of battery charging. Keep it away from children and pets while charging to avoid accidents.
- Store the camera in a cool, dry, and dust-free place.
Your battery and camera can only be disposed of in recycling facilities.
Please look for recycling drop off points when you need to throw it away.

User instructions
Inserting a microSD card
Insert the card all the way in until it clicks into place. Only use a branded
microSD card and format it on a
computer prior to use. Non-branded cards may cause erratic camera performance.
Installing and removing battery
- Push the battery cover tab to open it.
- Install battery into camera as indicated by+/- symbols and direction of arrows marked on battery and push it all the way in.
- Battery charge indicator: please refer to pictures.
- Remove Battery: open cover to take battery out.
Charging
- Charging can be done by connecting the camera to a computer; or using a power adaptor or a car charger:
- The SJS0OO series can record video while charging (select Car Mode in Menu)
- The SJSOO0 series can be charged even when it is powered off.
Switching camera on and off
- Press and hold power button for 3 to 5 seconds to tum it on / off.
Car camera mode
- Go to the video menu and select car mode to record.
- Camera will switch on automatically when the car starts while connected to a car charger.
Video recording mode
Switch to recording mode and there will be an icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Press OK to start recording and the icon in the upper left corner will flash from 00:00:00. Press “OK” again if you want to stop and the icon will disappear.
Photo shooting mode
Switch the camera on and press ”Mode” to select ”Photo shooting Mode”.An icon will appear on the upper left comer of the screen and the camera indicating that photo shooting mode is set Press “OK” to take photos.
File transfer and Media playback
- Use a USB cable or card reader to transfer files from the camera to a computer:
- Switch the camera on and select Playback mode to play media files.
Wi-fi connection: SJ5000 wifi and SJSOOOX Elite
This product can be connected to a mobile phone (Android or iOS system). Follow the steps below:
- Install the APP SJ CAM Zone for SJS000 Wifi or SJSOO0X Elite on your mobile phone or tablet Use Google Play for Android devices or App store for Apple devices.
- After powering on, pressWi-fi key on the camera, and the Wi-Fi icon will be displayed on the screen.
- Enable Wi-fi on your mobile device, search Wi-fi SJSOO0 and connect it The initial password is I 2345678.
- When Wi-fi is connected,Wi-fi Connection Ready displays on the screen.
- Videos and images will be directly displayed in the device.
Password change: switch on and enter Wi-fi setting menu, the password can be set as per your requirement. Specifications could be subject to modification due to upgrading or updating. Please regard the actual product as the standard form.
