SJCAM SJ4000 Air Action Camera

Safety Warnings
- While this is an action camera, care must be taken to keep it working properly.
- Do not expose the unit to strong magnetic fields, such as magnets, electrical motors, and machinery that use strong electromagnetic or radio waves.
- Do not leave your SJ4000 in hot environments or under direct sunlight for long periods.
- All electronic equipment generate heat during operation. If the camera’s body is too hot to touch, turn the unit off and let it cool down before using it again.
- Choose a branded microSD card to avoid performance issues. Non-branded cards may cause erratic behavior to the camera.
- Do not place your microSD cards near strong magnetic fields to avoid data loss.
- Always remove the battery when using the camera as a dashcam to avoid overcharging.
- Avoid extended periods of battery charging, keep it away from children and pets while charging to avoid accidents.
- Store the camera in a cool, dry, and dust-free place.
Your battery and camera can only be disposed of in recycling facilities. Please look for recycling drop off points when you need to throw it away.

User instructions
Inserting microSD card
Insert the card all the way in, with the label facing the LCD, until it clicks into place. Only use a branded microSD card and format it on a computer prior to use. Non-branded cards may cause erratic camera performance.
Installing and removing battery
- Press on battery cover tab to open it.
- Install battery into camera as indicated by +/- symbols and direction of arrows marked on battery until it’s in place.
- Battery charge indicator: please refer to pictures.
- Remove Battery: open cover to take battery out.
Charging
- Charging can be done by connecting the camera to a computer; using a power adaptor or a car charger:
- SJ4000 cameras can record video while charging (select Car Mode in Menu)
- Charging of SJ4000 cameras can be done even when it’s powered off.
Switching camera on and off
- Press and hold power switch for 3 to 5 seconds to tum it on / off.
Dashcam
- Go to the menu and select dash cam to record.
- Camera will switch on automatically when the car starts, in case it is connected to the car charger.
Video recording mode
Mer power on, it enters the recording standby state by default. Mer pressing the 110K11 button, the yellow dot in the upper left corner will start to flash to 00:00 to start recording. Press the 10K11 button again during recording to stop recording.
Photo shooting mode
Switch the camera on and press ”Mode”to select ”Photo shooting Mode”.An icon will appear on the upper left comer of the screen and the camera indicating that photo shooting mode is set Press ”OK” to take photos.
File storage and media reproduction
- Use a USB cable or card reader to transfer the files from the camera to the computer:
- Switch the camera on and press mode to select Play Mode to reproduce the files.
Wi-fi connection: SJ4000 wifi
This product can be connected to a mobile phone (Android or iOS system). Follow the steps below:
- Install the APP SJCAM Zone software on your mobile phone or tablet Use Google Play for Android devices or App Store for Apple devices.
- After powering on, pressWi-fi key on the camera, and the Wi-fi icon will be displayed on the screen.
- Enable Wi-fi on your mobile device, search Wi-fi SJ4000 Wi-fi and connect it. The initial password is 12345678,
- When Wi-fi is connected, Wi-fi Connection Ready displays on the screen
- Videos and images will be directly displayed in the smartphone or tablet.
Password change: switch on and enter Wi-fi setting menu. You can then set the password of your choice. Specifications could be subject to modification due to upgrading or updating. Please regard the actual product as the standard form.
