Marshall Shredmaster Pedal

The Marshall Shredmaster Pedal is a distortion pedal that delivers a range of distorted tones, from classic rock to heavy metal. The pedal features five controls: Gain, Bass, Contour, Treble, and Volume, which allow you to shape your tone to your liking. The LED above the footswitch indicates when the pedal is active.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect your guitar to the pedal using a 1/4 inch jack cable.
  2. Connect the pedal to an amplifier or other audio equipment using another 1/4-inch jack cable.
  3. Turn on the power supply for the pedal. You can use a 9VDC regulated power supply with a centre-negative 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug or a standard 9V battery (PP3).
  4. Press the footswitch to activate the pedal. The LED above the footswitch will light up to indicate that the pedal is active.
  5. Adjust the Gain control to set the pre-distortion level.
  6. Use the Bass control to boost the low-end frequencies.
  7. The Contour control changes the character of the mid-response and enhances the treble and bass frequencies.
  8. The Treble control boosts the high-end frequencies.
  9. The Volume control adjusts the output level of the pedal after distortion.
  10. Press the footswitch again to deactivate the pedal.

GETTING STARTED

This device requires power from either a 9V battery or a 9V DC power adaptor:

  • To fit a battery, remove the compartment cover on the underside of the pedal. Insert the battery, connect it to the terminals and replace the compartment cover. Remove the battery from the pedal when not in use.
  • When selecting a power adaptor for your pedal, ensure it is compatible with both the pedal and your mains supply. Your Marshall dealer can help you with this.

CONTROLS

  • The pedal is active when the LED above the footswitch is illuminated. Press the footswitch again to deactivate the pedal.
  • Gain: Sets the pre-distortion level.
  • Bass: Use this control to dial in a low-end boost.
  • Contour: Use this control to change the character of the mid response. This also enhances the treble and bass frequencies.
  • Treble: Use this control to dial in a high-end boost.
  • Volume: Controls the output level of the pedal (post-distortion).
