HSL11 Step Light

The HSL11 Step Light is a static white and static color step light with a ribbed design and matte black finish to reduce glare. It has an integral driver and an LED module with concealed optic. The light comes in three shapes: rectangle, round, and square. The dimensions of the rectangle shape are 4.60 x 2.50 inches, while the round and square shapes are 4.60 x 4.60 inches. The light is compatible with Steel City ‘CX’ series or equivalent back boxes (by others) and is suitable for concrete pour if the back box option is chosen or if Steel City back box is used. The HSL11 Step Light has three lumen packages: short (36 delivered lumens, 12 lumens/watt), medium (42 delivered lumens, 14 lumens/watt), and long (54 delivered lumens, 18 lumens/watt). The performance data is based upon 30K LED 80CRI.

The light is available in different ordering configurations, including shape (rectangle, round, or square), LED color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K), voltage (multi-volt 120V thru 277V), distribution (short, medium, or long throw), dimming optional (MIN5 dimming driver), and finish (brushed brass, brushed brass paint, brushed stainless steel, light bronze paint smooth, polished brass, polished stainless steel, semi-gloss black, semi-gloss white, custom finish, or RAL paint finishes).

Product Usage Instructions

Wiring and Dimming

Before installation, read all instructions carefully and do not make live connections. The HSL11 Step Light requires a 0-10V fluorescent-type dimming control for dimming installations. For non-dimming installations, cap off the grey and purple wires separately. To wire the light for non-dimming installations, connect the STEP WHITE wire to power NEUTRAL, the STEP BLACK wire to power HOT, and the STEP GREEN wire to power GROUND. The light is compatible with 120V or 277V power supply.

WIRING & DIMMING

POWER SUPPLY / DIMMING

• Dimming drivers require a 0-10V fluorescent-type dimming control.
• Read all instructions before installation. Do not make live connections!

NON-DIMMING INSTALLATIONS (For non-dimming, cap off the grey and purple wires seperately)

• Connect STEP WHITE wire to power NEUTRAL.
• Connect STEP BLACK wire to power HOT.
• Connect STEP GREEN wire to power GROUND.

DIMMING INSTALLATIONS

• The integral dimming driver is designed to the 0-10V IEC dimming specification 60929 and is compatible with common 0-10V dimmers and dimming systems.
• Do NOT connect line voltage to dimming input wires.
• Connect STEP WHITE wire to power NEUTRAL.
• Connect STEP BLACK wire to power HOT.
• Connect STEP VIOLET wire to POSITIVE INPUT of Dimming Control.
• Connect STEP GREY or PINK wire to NEGATIVE INPUT of Dimming Control.

• Light source is a single powerful LED available in five static white color temperatures/80CRI & six colored LED choices. All within 3MacAdam ellipse

Optics

• Concealed optic is available in three light distribution patterns. Short for narrow corridors, Medium for wide corridors, and Long for large area illumination.

Electrical

Integral electronic driver for 120 through 277v/50-60Hz input. Standard 0-10V dimming to 5%. THD: <20%. PFC: > 0.90. Complies to FCC CFR Title 47 Part 15, Class B at 120v and Class A at 277v EMI noise rating.

Mounting

• Fixture designed to mount to a Steel City CX single gang deep junction box (BB option from Hydrel or by others) or equivalent.

Lens

• Extruded clear acrylic optic lens concealed in reflector housing.
